How about let’s all stand up for an opening
prayer?

Lines can you lead us for an opening prayer? Yes, Teacher!

(Our Father, Who art in heaven, Hallowed be

Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be
done, On earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this
day, our daily bread, And forgive us our
trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass
against us. And lead us not into temptation, but
deliver us from evil. Amen)
(Classroom Management)
Before you take your seats kindly please pick up
the pieces of paper under your chair, and arrange
your chairs properly and after that you can now
take your seat.

Now let’s go to our classroom rules:

1.)Listen Carefully
2.)Raise your right hand if you want to answer.
3.)Always do your best.
Understand class? Yes, Teacher!

Very good! Is everyone present for this morning? Yes, Teacher!

Good to hear everyone is present!

So class do you remember our last topic that we It’s about fraction, Teacher.
tackled yesterday?

Yes, it’s about fraction and now we are going to

have a new discussion for this morning but before
that i have here some given that i want you to
answer.

B.ENGAGE
So class do you still remember about place value?
Yes, Teacher!
Okay, what are the place value?
Ones. Tenths and Hundredths Teacher.
Very good! So I have here some given, who want
to try to answer this question. All you have to do is
to form the numbers into a word or a sentence like
for example:

1.)0.23= Twenty-three hundredths

2.)0.98= Expected Answers:
3.)0.56= 2.)Ninety-eight hundredths
4.)0.37= 3.)Fifty-six hundredths
4.)Thirty-seven hundredths
C.EXPLORE
Great job everyone! And now let’s move on for our
next given, earlier you are able to write it into a
word or a sentence but now i wanna test your
knowledge in this one so what you need to do is
instead of writing it into a word or sentence you
have to turn the sentence into a number, are you
guys ready?
Yes, Teacher!
Good! So here are the given:
Expected Answers:
1.)Thirty-six hundredths= 1.)0.36
2.)Seventy-three hundredths= 2.)0.73
3.)Twenty-four hundredths= 3.)0.24
4.)Eighty-five hundredths= 4.)0.85

All your answers are correct!

D.EXPLAIN
Do you have any idea what our topic is for this
morning?
It’s about reading and writing decimal numbers
Correct! It’s about reading and writing decimal through hundredths, Teacher.
numbers through hundredths.
I want you to look at this chart:

Ones And Tenths Hundredt

hs

0 . 5 6

So in order for us to understand this chart there is

a decimal given here and that is 0.56.

For us to form it into a sentence we have to

identify what is the 2 digit number that was shown Fifty-six, Teacher!
in the chart?

Correct! So take note everyone if the ones is zero

we don’t have to put it in the answer but it will
become invisible so instead of saying ”zero and
fifty-six hundredths” we say “fifty-six Yes, Teacher!
hundredths”, Got it?

Okay, let me give you another example:

0.34=?
Answer: Thirty-four hundredths

0.45=?
Answer: Forty-five hundredths

Okay, how about this one? Me, Teacher!

1.80=?
It’s One and Eighty hundredths, Teacher!
Okay, what’s the answer for this given?

Yes, you are correct!

So remember class that there is a number in the

ones then we can turn it into a word except zero.

I’ll give you another given, can anyone tell me

what’s the answer to this? It’s Five and Eighty-nine hundredths, Teacher!

5.89=?

Yes you are correct!

Now you fully understand our topic, do you have

any questions? None so far, Teacher!
