Registering an Account
• You can access this link to register for a PMI account : https://www.pmi.org/account-registration

After accessing this link, you will see fields to fill in your account information. You need to pay
attention to two things:
• All information should be written in English.
• First Name = Họ và Last Name = Tên

After completing registration, you log in and select Certifications -> Project Management
Professional (PMP)®

On this page, you select 'Apply for PMP Certification' to be directed to the application section
The PMP exam application consists of three sections:
• Education
• Experience
• Exam Details
02. Completing Education Information

Academic Education:
Ensure that all your information is filled out exactly as stated below:
• Year of graduation
• Country
• School name
• Major

In this step, you need to pay attention to one thing: if your highest education level is Bachelor's degree or higher, then the
duration of project experience to be filled in the next step (Experience) is 36 months. However, if it's otherwise, you need to
document up to 60 months.

Professional Education:
The information entered here pertains to the 35-contact-hour certification. You can obtain it through various means such as
attending classes at a training center, purchasing reputable video courses, etc.

03. Providing Experience Details
In this step, you need to document the projects you've
been involved in as a Project Manager/Project
Leader/Team Lead.
Calculating the project duration is quite straightforward. In
the Exam Summary section, you can calculate the total
number of months of your project involvement. Please note
the following:
Project Duration Calculation: The duration of each
project should not overlap. For example, if Project 1 takes
place from May 2020 to September 2020, it is counted as 5
months. If Project 2 occurs from July 2020 to November
2020, only the period from October 2020 to November
2020 is counted, which is 2 months.
Project Description Requirements:
The Project Description must be at least 100 words long,
typically ranging from 200 to 500 words.
It should include:

• Objectives of the project in 1-2 lines

• Your role in the project (which may differ from your job
titles)

• Tasks you performed in the project (preferably aligned


with the knowledge gained from PMP courses)

• Outcome of the project in 1-2 lines.


Ensure that you provide accurate information in all fields,

03. Providing Experience Details
Example
• Objective: To develop an mobile game and to publish it on various Android
Stores like Google Play, Amazon Appstore, and Aptoide.
• Role: Project Manager, I manage the whole project.

• Initiating:
• Collect processes, procedures, and historical information.
• Assess project and product feasibility within the given constraints.

add more by clicking the "Add Additional Experience" button.

04. Filling Out Exam Details
This step is for you to provide your personal information for your exam registration.
Please fill out the information according to your actual details.

The only point to note here is Exam Accommodations, where you must select "I will
NOT need special arrangements." This section asks if you require assistance,
usually intended for people with disabilities.

Afterward, check the last two checkboxes and you're done. However, to ensure that
your application is well-prepared, you can send it to us for review. You can submit it
via Padlet for our review. Click the "Submit" button to send your application. If
you're randomly audited, don't worry, refer to this guide.

Tips: To avoid spelling and grammar errors, input your information into Google Docs,
then install the Grammarly extension to check.
