RULES: All matches shall be played following the standard rules of badminton, unless
specified otherwise in these regulations.
TEAM COMPOSITION:
Each team shall consist of ONE (1) player only.
No substitution of players is allowed.
If a player is injured, injury protocol shall be applied.
A coach is allowed to sit on the team bench but has NO RIGHT to intervene in
the match.
TOURNAMENT FORMAT:
Round 1
8:00 am - 8:30 am A vs. J
8:30 am - 9:00 am B vs. I
9:00 am - 9:30 am C vs. H
9:30 am - 10:00 am D vs. G
10:00 am - 10:30 am E vs. F
Round 2
10:30 am - 11:00 am A vs. E
11:00 am - 11:30 am B vs. D
11:30 am - 12:00 pm H vs. F
Semi-finals
1:00 pm - 1:30 pm A vs. B
1:30 pm - 2:00 pm E vs. D
Finals
3:30 pm - 4:00 pm A vs. E
The tournament will be played in a single-elimination format.
After the initial seeding, players will compete in a bracket where losing a
match results in elimination from the tournament.
The winner of each match advances to the next round until a champion is
determined.
MATCH FORMAT:
Matches shall be played in a best-of-three games format.
Each game shall be played to 21 points, with a player needing to win by
at least 2 points.
If a third game is necessary, it shall be played to 15 points, with a player
needing to win by at least 2 points.
CLASSIFICATION OF MATCH:
Points will not be awarded in a single-elimination format.
Players either advance to the next round or are eliminated based on match
outcomes.
UNIFORM:
Players shall wear appropriate badminton attire, which is comfortable for
playing and allows for ease of movement.
Uniforms can be optional or based on individual preference.
ELIGIBILITY OF PLAYERS:
Players must meet eligibility criteria set by the tournament organizers.
Presenting a valid ID for verification purposes before the start of the first game
is mandatory.
AWARDS:
The top three finishers shall receive medals.
PROTEST:
In case of a protest, the coach shall sign the scoresheet of the game and
indicate the subject of the protest.
The written protest must be filed to the Tournament Manager within 24 hours
after the match in question and must be accompanied by a protest fee for
proper treatment of the case.
