Climate

Because of Guangxi’s elevation of 196.94 meters above sea level, it has


a Humid subtropical, no dry season climate. Guangxi’s yearly
temperature is 22.52ºC (which is 7.9% higher than China’s average).
Guangxi usually receives about 90.99 millimeters of precipitation and
has 149.18 rainy days annually (which is approximately 40.87% of the
time).

Guangxi has 4 seasons:

o Summer: there’s a hot and humid weather, with temperatures higher


than 30°C; during summer, precipitations increase.
o Winters: are mild but can feel cooler owed to humid conditions, with
temperatures between 10°C-15°C.
o Spring: during spring, temperatures vary between 15°C and 25°C.
o Autumn: during autumn, temperatures vary between 20°C and 30°C;
also, humidity decreases.
Flora and Fauna

Guangxi has a varied flora, characterized by abundant tropical and


subtropical vegetation. We can find orchids (that flourish in the region
because of the humid climate), bamboo (that grows because of the warm
and humid climate), medicinal herbs, and aromatic plants.

The extensive and varied flora has as result a diverse and fascinating
fauna that can be found in Guangxi’s forests, rivers, and mountains.
Some of the most known and characteristic animals in Guangxi are: The
South China tiger, the clouded leopard, the Chinese alligator, etc.
