Let me introduce my self, I am........................ I am grade ............... student from Baitul

Qur’an Islamic Boarding School, Ampenan , Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara.
In this happy occasion, I will deliver the speech under the title : the importance of
character education
Ladies and gentlemen

Today, I am honored to address you on a topic of utmost importance: the significance of character

education. In a world where knowledge is abundant and technology proliferates, the cultivation of

strong moral character remains essential for the betterment of individuals and society as a whole.

This imperative is deeply rooted in the teachings of Islam, as illuminated by the Quran, the Hadith,

and the insights of esteemed scholars throughout history.

The Quran, the holy book of Islam, serves as a timeless guide for humanity, offering profound

wisdom on matters of ethics and character. In numerous verses, Allah Almighty emphasizes the

importance of cultivating noble virtues and embodying moral excellence. For instance, in Surah

Al-Qasas, Allah says, "And establish prayer and give zakah and bow with those who bow [in

worship and obedience]. Do you order righteousness of the people and forget yourselves while

you recite the Scripture? Then will you not reason?" (Quran 2:177).
This verse underscores the necessity of aligning our actions with our beliefs, emphasizing the

inseparable connection between faith and righteous conduct.

Similarly, the Hadith, the sayings and actions of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him),

provide practical guidance on developing exemplary character. The Prophet Muhammad (peace

be upon him) is reported to have said, "The best among you are those who have the best manners

and character" (Sahih Bukhari). This Hadith highlights the central importance of moral conduct in

Islam, affirming that true excellence is measured not by wealth or status but by the refinement of

one's character.

Furthermore, the Qaul Ulama, the words of scholars who have dedicated their lives to the study

and elucidation of Islamic teachings, offer invaluable insights into the cultivation of virtuous

character. These scholars emphasize the transformative power of character education in shaping

individuals who are compassionate, just, and principled. They remind us that character is not innate

but rather developed through conscious effort, self-reflection, and adherence to ethical principles

derived from Islamic teachings.

Character education is not a mere academic pursuit; it is a lifelong journey of self-improvement

and spiritual growth. By nurturing virtues such as integrity, humility, patience, and compassion,

we not only enhance our own lives but also contribute to the well-being of our families,

communities, and society at large. In a world plagued by division, injustice, and moral decay, the

cultivation of strong moral character serves as a beacon of hope and a catalyst for positive change.

In conclusion, let us heed the guidance of the Quran, the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad

(peace be upon him), and the wisdom of scholars by prioritizing character education in our lives

and communities. Let us strive to embody the noble virtues exemplified by the Prophet
Muhammad (peace be upon him) and to cultivate a culture of integrity, compassion, and

righteousness. In doing so, we honor the timeless teachings of Islam and contribute to the

realization of a more just, compassionate, and harmonious society.

Hopefully my speech today can be useful for us, thank you for the attention and sorry for
any shortcomings. And the last I say , Wabillahi taufiq wal hidayah wa ridho wa inayah.
