 はじめに

警告内容
本取扱説明書では、警告内容を次のように規定しています。

１．概要
カラム出口側を分岐し複数の検出器で成分を検出するシステムのためのユニットです。一
回の試料注入による分析で多くの情報を得ることができます。
APC(圧力制御器)使用の2方分岐ユニット、APCを使用しない3方分岐ユニット、APCを使
用しない2方分岐ユニットの3種類があります。

３．接続方法

警告
 カラムオーブン、試料気化室、検出器温度が 50℃以下になった後に、カラムの取り付けま
たは取り外し作業を行うようにしてください。
 カラムオーブン、試料気化室、検出器が高温のときに作業を行うと、火傷をします。

警告
 ガス流路に漏れのないことを確認してください。
 特に水素ガスは大量に漏れると爆発のおそれがあります。

島津製作所においてはアドバンストフローテクノロジーシリーズの検出器分岐用の計算ソ
フトウェアを用意しておりますので、担当営業あるいは代理店に、お問合せください。
本計算プログラムにより圧力プログラムを組むことなく簡易に検出器分岐システムを構築
することが可能となります。

以下において接続する抵抗管の種類、AUX-APCの圧力設定値については、本計算プログラ
ムにより検討してください。

Note）APCからの配管やキャピラリチューブを固定する際には，配管或いはキャピラリチ
ューブを分岐素子に当てた状態で固定をしてください。

４．AUX-APC圧力の設定

［OPTION］ キーを押した画面から、さらに［OPTION］キーを押すか、
［次］ （PF メ
ニュー） を押していくと下図の画面が表示されます。画面は「AOC パラメータ」→ 「AUX
温度設定」→ 「AUX APC」→ 「CRG」の順に切り替わります。
検出器分岐システム用の圧力はAPC1で制御されます。APC2とAPC3は常時、offとしてく
ださい。

APC1の圧力設定値については、島津アドバンストフローテクノロジーシリーズの検出器分
岐用計算ソフトを使用して、適切な値を入力してください。

５．抵抗管の使用例
① MSとFIDにて同じ流量
MS側に内径0.15mm×50cm、FID側に内径0.22mm×70cm
② MSの流量とFIDの流量が１０：１
MS側に内径0.22mm×80cm、FID側に内径0.15mm×50cm
③ MSの流量とFIDの流量が１：１０
MS側に内径0.15mm×80cm、FID側に内径0.32mm×50cm
④ FIDの流量とFPDの流量が１：１０

 FID側に内径0.15mm×50cm、FPD側に内径0.32mm×100cm

６．トラブルシューティング

１）検出器にピークが出ない。
・漏れがないことを確認してください。
・検出器がONになっていることを確認してください。
２）分岐比が予想通りにならない。
・漏れがないことを確認してください。
・抵抗管に詰まりが無いことを確認してください。

1.What is the Detector Splitting System?

Detector Splitting System of a GC column is performed for a number of reasons. In this

system under stream of the column is branched to 2 or 3 detectors.
With one injection, detailed information can be got.
We have 3 types of detector splitting system.
2 way splitting system with APC, and 3 way splitting system without APC ,and 2 way
splitting system without APC.

3. Installation
［Warning］
Do not install or remove the capillary column until the temperature of
the column oven, injection port and detector have dropped below
50 °C. Danger of burns.
Frequently check gas flow lines for leaks.
In particular, accumulations of hydrogen gas can cause an explosion.

Shimadzu has software for detector splitting system.

The software is one of Advanced Flow Technology series.

Please refer to the detector splitting software to select the dimension of the restrictors
and the pressure setting value of AUX-APC.

Note) When you fix piping from APC or the capillary tube, push the piping or the
capillary toward the splitter device and screw the nut.

4. AUX-APC
Push [OPTION] key. Then, push [Option] key again or [Next] (PF Menu).
The screen as in the figure below is displayed. The screen is switched in turn as follows:
AOC parameter -> AUX Temp Setting -> AUX APC -> CRG.
The pressure of detector splitting system is controlled by APC1. Turn off APC2 and
APC3 when performing a detector splitting system.

5. Combination of restrictors
Example
1. MS flow : FID flow = 1 : 1
ID 0.15mm×L 50cm for MS, ID 0.22mm×L 70cm for FID.
2. MS flow : FID flow = 10 : 1
ID 0.22mm×L 80cm for MS, ID 0.15mm×L 50cm for FID.
3. MS flow : FID flow = 1 : 10
ID 0.15mm×L 80cm for MS, ID 0.32mm×L 50cm for FID.
4. FID flow : FPD flow = 1 : 10
ID 0.15mm×L 50cm for FID, ID 0.32mm×L 100cm for FPD.

[Caution]
The above example is with AUX-APC pressure is 20kPa and oven temperature is 50
degrees. The calculation may have some error by the error of dimension of the column or
restrictors.

6. Troubleshooting
１）There is no peak signal.
・Check for carrier gas leaks.
・Check the detector signal is ON.

２）There is a strange detectors splitting ratio.

・Check for carrier gas leaks.
・Check for carrier gas clog.
