remove any dirt, debris, or burrs from the edges. This will ensure a clean surface
for proper solvent cement bonding.

8.2.7 Assembly and Fitting: Apply solvent cement to the outer surface of one end of the
uPVC duct and the inner surface of the connector or coupler. Insert the duct into
the connector or coupler and twist it slightly to ensure a secure fit. Repeat this
process for all connections along the route.

8.2.8 Mounting and Support: Securely mount the uPVC ducts to the walls or ceilings
using brackets or clamps at regular intervals. This will provide stability and prevent
sagging or movement of the ducts over time.

8.2.9 Testing and Inspection: Once the installation is complete, conduct a thorough
inspection of the uPVC duct system to ensure proper alignment, fitting, and support.
Test the system by conducting mandrel tests before and after concrete pouring to
verify smooth passage without any obstructions.

8.2.10 Documentation: It is important to maintain accurate documentation of the uPVC

duct installation, including layout diagrams, cable routing details, and any
modifications made during the process. This documentation will be useful for
future reference, maintenance, or expansion purposes.

In conclusion, the installation procedure of uPVC ducts involves planning and design,
