Santa Marta (Colombia) is the city where I was born.

It is said to be
the oldest city in Colombia. I like to think that I am from a city with
much more history than any other in the country. One of the things
I like most about Santa Marta is the city itself, we have sea, river,
we have near the Sierra Nevada, the Tayrona Park, places that are
visited by many tourists, people from other cities and countries. There
is also La Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino, which is important for
many tourists and many times the citizens themselves are not aware
of the many important places we have in our city. The things I don't
like about Santa Marta is the insecurity that has increased now.
Every day we see some murder and similar cases. The corruption that
is not only in the city but in the whole country. These things are what
make Santa Marta overshadow the beautiful things that are found
in the city and what causes citizens to want to seek a better life in
other destinations without appreciating the true beauty that is
Santa Marta and its history.
