Project Description

• Construction of substation
400/110-220/110 kV Cirkovce,
• construction of OHL 2x400 kV
Cirkovce - Pince (80,3 km),
• underground cabling of existing
110 kV power lines in front of
substation Cirkovce,
• Relocation of the OHL 220 kV
Cirkovce – Žerjavinec (6 km)
• implementation of mitigation
measures.

State of Play
• Building permit for SS Cirkovce:
issued in August 2018
• Building permit for relocation of a
section OHL 220 kV Cirkovce –
Žerjavinec: issued in September
2019
• Building permit for OHL 2x400 kV
Cirkovce – Pince: issued in January
2020 and completed May 2021 ;
• Construction of SS Cirkovce started
in April 2019
• Construction of OHL 2x400 kV
Cirkovce – Pince started in
September 2020

• Energization of SS 400/110
kV Cirkovce completed in
June 2021;
• Energization of relocation of
OHL 220 kV Cirkovce –
Žerjavinec: completed in
March 2021;

kV Cirkovce – Heviz –
Žerjavinec completed in June
2022.

Next steps & Lessons learned

• OHL 2x400 kV Cirkovce – Heviz –


Žerjavinec is in trial operation;
• Mitigation measures from
Environmental Impact Permit have
been completed. Monitoring of the
success of mitigation measures is
going on;
• During preparation and construction
phase of OHL, intense
communication with landowners
and local communities were
essential for the success of project.
