1- Purpose:
The purpose of this work method statement is to safely carry out, dismantling of damaged roof sheets, erection of new sheets,
repairing of life line, repairing of skylight’s mesh and repair of trims of Turbine room replacement.

2- Scope of Work:
a- Dismantling of existing sheets & trims.
b- Installation of new sheets & trims.
c- Repairing lifelines.
d- Repairing skylight’s mesh.
e- Repairing of Trims for Turbine Rooms

3- Areas:
Loading Area on Front side of warehouse.
For work on roof (car parking side), half loading area on side of tarpaulin station will be used for profiling sheets & lifting sheets.
For work on roof (social building side), half loading area in front of shipping office will be used.
Front side of loading area to 1st skylight, warehouse, shipping office, Locker room area will be used for installation & dismantling of
sheets, trims.
Syrup room area will be used for Installation & dismantling of sheets, trims.
Scrap Yard area near tarpaulin station (existing storm damage material yard)
Turbine Room 1&2

4- Persons & Responsibilities:

a. Site Engineer:
Overall supervision of the project.
Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards.
Troubleshooting technical issues.
Ensure work is carried out as per Approved Drawing.

b. HSE Engineer:
Ensure all safety procedures are followed.
Conduct regular safety inspections and training.
Investigate any accidents or near misses.

c. Supervisor:
Ensuring that work is carried out according to the plan and specifications.
Monitoring progress and productivity
Report any issues or concerns to the site engineer.

d. Foreman:
Directly supervise the work crew.
Ensuring that work is carried out according to the plan and specifications.
Monitoring progress and productivity
Report any issues or concerns to the supervisor and site engineer.

e. Crane Operator:
Operate the crane safely and efficiently.
Ensure all lifts are carried out in accordance with relevant safety procedures.
Following proper lifting procedures.
Communicating with ground personnel for load movements.

f. Riggers:
Rigging and securing loads for lifting.
Inspecting rigging equipment for defects.
Communicating with crane operators for load movements.
Ensuring proper weight distribution and balance.

g. Profile Machine Operator:


Operating profiling machine for sheet profile processing.
Monitoring machine performance and quality of output.
Reporting any malfunctions or defects.

h. Welder:
welding and fabricating metal components as required.
Following welding procedures and safety protocols.
Maintaining welding equipment

i. Fitter:
For fixing profile sheets according to approved drawings.
Using hand and power tools for cutting, drilling, and shaping.
Ensuring proper alignment of sheeting and trimming.

j. Helpers:
Assisting skilled workers with various tasks.
Moving materials and equipment as needed.
Keeping the work area clean and organized.

k. Scissor Lift Operator:


Operate the scissor lift safely and efficiently
Ensure all work at height is carried out in accordance with relevant safety procedures

5- Tools and Equipment's:

a. Power tools: Screw Gun, Grinders (9'' & 4''), Seamer Machine, Profile Machine (Fitted in container), welding plant
b. Hand tools: Plier, L-key set, screwdriver set, sheet cutter, Rivet gun, silicon gun, Hammer (2 kg)
c. Distribution Box
c. Crane: 10 M.T Cranes (10 tons - 2 no’s), sling (4 tons - 4 no’s), web belt (1 ton - 10 no’s), lifting beam,
d- Scissor lift.
e- Bucket crane (for turbine room work)

6- Materials:

a. Sheeting coil.
b. Accessories: Trims, clips, screws, rivets, metal closure
c. Silicon, bead mastic tape.

7- Work Methodology:

a. Dismantling of existing sheets:

Access to roof for repair work using H.V.A.C unit stairs.


Existing life line will be repaired and 3rd party certification will be done before use.
All works to wear full body hardness attached with fall arrestors
Remove trims using screws gun.
Cutting existing sheets using grinder and sheet cutters.
Dismantled sheets in form of bundles will be shifted to ground with the help of 2 no’s cranes and lifting beam, then transferred to
scrap yard.
b. Erection of new sheets:

Profile sheets using profiling machine (Lenth: 55mx0.6m and 45mx0.6m)


shift 5 no’s new sheets from the ground to the roof using 2 cranes and a lifting beam.
Install new sheets & trims according to approved drawings.
Same procedure will be followed till the completion of required sheet work.
Install gable trim with screws on the edge from the roof

c. Repairing of Life line:

Remove existing lifeline bases from existing sheets.


Reinstall lifeline bases after the installation of new sheets.

d. Skylight’s mesh repairing:

Repair damaged mesh bars by welding.

e. Repairing of trims for Turbine Rooms:

Repair existing trims by using self-screws


Bucket crane or scissor lift will be used for work at height at turbine rooms.

8- EHS Instructions:

Ensure all workers wear appropriate personal protective equipment PPE at all times.

All personnel involved in roof maintenance work must undergo comprehensive training for
1- proper handling of equipment and tools.
2- identification of potential hazards associated with roof maintenance.
3- Emergency procedures and protocols follow as per Rescue plan

Before commencing any roof maintenance work, a thorough inspection of all equipment and tools must be conducted to ensure they
are in good working condition.
Any damaged or malfunctioning equipment/tools should be immediately reported, taken out of service, and repaired or replaced as
necessary.
Use of soft barrication to prevent unauthorized access to work areas.
Proper storage and handling of hazardous materials.
Conduct regular safety inspections.
Provide adequate welfare facilities for workers, including rest areas, Fresh water facilities, and first aid services.
Ensure all workers are trained and competent in the tasks they are performing.
Implement traffic management to ensure safe movement of personnel and equipment.
Ensure all tools and equipment are in good working condition and regularly maintained.
