Voluson OmniView ™

OmniView is a 3D/4D tool used to visualize any plane within a volume. Image non-orthogonal
planes by simply drawing a line, curve, trace or polyline on any area within the volume.

Technique
Acquire 3D/4D volume*
Adjust anatomical structures in the A, B and C plane
Select A, B or C as the reference plane then select OmniView on the touch panel
Choose Line, Curve, Trace or Polyline on the touch panel depending of structure of interest
Use the trackball and trackball keys to draw on the reference image

Tips
Select VCI (Volume Contrast Imaging) on the touch
panel to add thickness and render options to the
result, if desired
Additional lines may be added, select quad display
on console, then select reference line 1, 2 or 3

Optimize the results by first aligning the A and B planes before drawing the OmniView line
Use top trackball key to alternate between position and rotation of OmniView line, or rotate with
OmniV rot. rotary knob below the touch panel

xTouch can be used to create and adjust the lines1

Use OmniView orientation on the touch panel
to change the orientation of the created
OmniView Image

To remove the Icon or Line from the OmniView

image, select Sub 3D on the touch panel and
choose appropriate graphic

OmniView can be added to a static 3D acquisition

or in real-time 4D
