As per CBSE the Assessment of Speaking and Listening skills (ASL) in Half-yearly
Examination has to be conducted as it plays a vital role in personal and professional
development, language acquisition, and cross-cultural communication, contributing to a well-
rounded and versatile skill set. The School shall oversee ‘Assessment for Speaking & Listening
skills’ for 25.08.23 to 1.09.23.

interest/Features/Health & Wellbeing. Set aside a DEAR (Drop Everything And Read).
Students will be required to speak on the topic of their choice for 1-2 minutes.

It is mandatory for students to appear for both Listening as well as speaking assessment as this
form an important component of English Term End Examination.
