Description: PETROLEUM EQUIPMENT CO., LTD sub-vendor Shandong Mingzhu to carry out the
inspection, the details as below:

Inspector performed visual inspection for pin and box threads of tool joints of the drill

pipes, phosphating film surface was smooth, no damaged threads was found.
Inspector performed visual inspection for drill pipes body, internal flush connection, the
drill pipes were new and unused, no pit, scratch and damage was found.
Inspector performed inspection for the coating, all the drill pipes external surface were
painted black coating for protection from corrosion, the coating was smooth, hard to
touch.
Inspector performed visual inspection for internal coating of the drill pipes, the coating
was smooth, hard to touch, free of foreign material, no defects. The coating color was
green.
Result was accepted.
➢ Item 2, Marking inspection.

Inspector randomly checked marking for the drill pipes, the marking is clear, the marking
information conform to API 5DP, and result was acceptable, details as following:
Stencil marking of drill pipes as following:
MADE IN CHINA TIANHE 01 24 2 7/8″ 10.40 G EU L2 Length Weight tool joint traceability
code.
Stamp marking on outside surface of box tool joints as following:

Result was accepted.

➢ Item 3, Packing inspection.

The protectors were installed on both end threads (pin and box threads), thread
protectors are plug type, the factory taped the vents of the external thread protectors ,
so as to avoid threads and internal coating being damage.
All threads (Pin and Box) were fully coated with thread compound.
Inspector checked packing for the drill pipes, no damaged drill pipes or protector was
found, each bundle used 3 sets of metal racks and 9 steel straps, metal racks were with
lock- nuts. Each layer of pipes was underlaid with rubber at the contact surface of the
metal racks, to prevent the metal racks damaged the pipe body.

Inspector checked quantity,16 pcs per bundle, total of 62 bundles,978


pcs.9449.35m,166989.31kg, the total length 9449.35m(equal to 31001.8 FT) met the
total quantity (Contract quantity 31000 FT). The factory used metric units for length and
weight on pipe marking and tally sheet.
Result was accepted.

Inspector reviewed the process quality records, below documents were provided for
review during this visit, the results can be conformed to client’s requirements.
a. MTC of raw material. The green pipes were purchased from Linzhou Fengbao, sub-
vendor heat treated to G105 grade PSL-2 level. The pipe body OD was 2-7/8 in, ID was
2.151 in, thickness was 0.362 in.
b. MTC of tool joint. the tool joints were purchased from Yanchen Teda. The tool joint ID
was 2 in, OD was 4-1/8 in. Tool joint was phosphating treatment, the thread met API 7-2
requirements, the tool joint met the G105 PSL-2 requirements of API 5DP.
c. Certificate of conformity.
d. Calibration certificates of gauges.
e. Drill pipe tally sheet, 2-7/8″10.4ppf G105 grade EU(external upset), single length range
9.42~9.75m(31~32 FT),met the requirements of contract.
f. MTC of finished drill pipe is provided and checked by inspection office in Tehran.
