Papyrus Accomplishment Report 2022 2023
I. INTRODUCTION
In order to achieve the goals set by Papyrus, our publication with a pool of
competent, talented, disciplined, and determined members has committed themselves to
the mission of disseminating factual articles in the College of Architecture.
The whole Papyrus Publication is expressing its heartfelt gratitude to our beloved
Deans of OSA and OSOAD---Dr. Mercedes G. Trajano and Mr. Almon M. Alegado, our
dedicated, committed, and hard-working Federated Non-Political Student Organizations
(FNPSO) officers and fellow leaders. As well as our supportive College Dean, Ar. Ofelia
M. Bawan.
Date Accomplishment
August 11, 2022 In efforts to ignite the spirit of Campus Journalism, Papyrus,
the Publication of College of Architecture conducted its
Membership Drive.
August 18, 2022 Papyrus, together with other organizations in the College of
Architecture, participated in the Annual Arki Virtual Orientation
as a kickstart for the upcoming academic year. The
publication was assigned to document the activities.
October 22, 2022 With the theme “Resilient Architecture: Future Proofing the
Designs of Tomorrow”, The 2nd Asian Conference for
Emergent Architecture in collaboration with Nueva Ecija
University of Science and Technology- University Training
Department has been conducted. The Papyrus members
documented the whole duration of the seminar.
October 27, 2022 In celebration of World Architecture Day, the NEUST College
of Architecture celebrated the event with WAD: Architecture
for the People, by the People. Papyrus, The Publication of the
College of Architecture, became one of the management
teams of the World Architecture Day Event. Writing letters for
the approvals of venues, graphics, and documentation.
October 27, 2022 With the aim of fostering a collaborative and expressive
community among the students of the college, the Papyrus,
the Publication of College of Architecture held its Literary
Contest and photography contest
December 2, 2022 The Curriculum Review with Stakeholders for the College of
Architecture has been conducted via Zoom Meeting. Russel
Jhon Guibani, the Editor-in-Chief of Papyrus, is one of the
representatives of the college to share insights about the
current curriculum.
December 2, 2022 The Editorial Board for the Academic Year 2022-2023 was
officially released on the Facebook page.
January 16-20, 2023 The Papyrus members documented the whole duration of the
Annual University Meet, jotting down write-ups and game
results.
May 2 & 5, 2023 The College of Architecture held the 2-day Thesis Defense for
graduating arki students at Nieto Hall, Sumacab. Papyrus
members documented the whole duration of the event and
released the names of those who got the best thesis.
May 17-19, 2023 Papyrus members, Russel Guibani, Nelmark Santiago, and
Vea Janelle Rodriguez participated in the 21st Regional
Higher Education Press Conference. The said members were
also part of the university’s official student publication, The
Blaze.
May 29, 2023 Papyrus officially released the best architecture thesis
awardees for the academic year 2022-2023
IV. CONCLUSION
The Papyrus is truly grateful to the Almighty God for His graces and blessings. All
achievements would not have been possible without His blessings. All the members have
shown their dedicated commitment to the publication to meet its goal.
With the help of our adviser, Ar. Gregorio Villaviza Jr., the Papyrus is able to
continue its legacy.
