Selfish Attitude: Another challenge is how to overcome selfish attitudes that can
hinder the development of Pancasila values among students. Pancasila education
should help students develop tolerance and civic awareness.
Not Accepting Differences: Another challenge is how to overcome the tendency to not
accept differences that can hinder the development of Pancasila values. Pancasila
education should help students develop an attitude of respect for differences within
the framework of Unity in Diversity.
Exalting One’s Own Region: Another challenge is how to overcome the tendency to
exalt one’s own region that can hinder the development of Pancasila values. Pancasila
education should help students develop nationalism and state awareness.
Thus, the challenges of Pancasila Education faced in education in Indonesia cover several
aspects, including technological advances, selfish attitudes, not accepting differences,
exalting one’s own region, resource availability, specialization of study programs, resource
availability factors, strengthening national insight, fostering national character, and
developing self-potential. To overcome these challenges, Pancasila education must be
implemented effectively and efficiently, and take into account the availability of resources
and the specialization of relevant study programs.
