settlements and results into melting glaciers which leads to
flooding

• More than 1000 people died
• Many rice planes destroyed , up to 2 million tonnes which lead to
many economic losses
• 400 factories closed down which also lead to 20% decrease in the
country’s GDP
• Lead to increasing prices for food

• Better water pumping and drainage systems n=manufactured
• Rescue boats set to many locations
• Warning systems all around the area
• Dhaka flood project initialised for providing rescue teams and
shelter
