UNIT 2
COMPANY VISION AND MISSION

2. Company Vision and Mission

2.1 Microsoft Corporate Mission
Microsoft's corporate mission is to "empower everyone and everyone "All
institutions on the planet to achieve more." This mission statement shows that
business is about empowering people and organizations. Such authorization is
achieved through the use of company computer equipment. The following
components are important in the Microsoft Corporate Mission Statement:
 Empowerment
 Everyone and every organization on the planet
 To achieve more
The first component of the corporate mission shows what Microsoft
products can do for customers. For example, such authorization can take the form
of faster data processing in the office and increase access to information in the
home. The second component of the company's mission statement identifies the
target market, which in this case involves individuals and organizations all over
the world. The company's corporate mission also states that computer technology
and software products benefit customers in terms of achievement. Microsoft's
corporate mission statement is similar to the company's vision statement,
considering that both statements relate to authorization. However, the corporate
mission statement emphasizes the practical benefits of achieving more. This
advantage or value is reflected in the strategies and tactics included in the
Marketing mix of Marketing or 4P.
Microsoft's mission is to present the global market scope of the business
and the general concept of business benefits to its customers. However, a
corporate mission does not clearly define a business in terms of its characteristics
or what it does.

10
សាកលវ ិទ្យាល័ យ គ្រប់ គ្រងនិ ងសេដ្ឋកិ ច្ច English Part 1

Ideally, the mission should provide a general idea of the business and what
the organization wants to achieve. In this case, Microsoft corporate mission needs
improvement. The recommendation is to improve the company's mission
statement, including how the unit achieves its corporate vision. For example, in
relation to the growth of computer technology and the software business,
corporations can rapidly demonstrate innovation in computer networks and
related products. Also to improve the mission statement of Company information
about Microsoft strategy can be included as well.
22. Microsoft Company Vision
Microsoft's corporate vision is "to help people and businesses around the
world realize their full potential." For its development, the Microsoft Company
Vision Statement contains the following components:
 People and businesses around the world
 Help know
 Full potential
The first component of the vision statement is part of Microsoft target
market, which is the global market. Instead of smoking software products to
individual customers, the company also sells its products to organizations.
The second component of Microsoft company vision statement shows
what the business intends to do. For example, the company aims to provide
products that help customers towards achieving their full potential, as stated in
the third component of the company's vision. So Microsoft's corporate vision
shows the target market, what the company's technology products do, and what
customers can get through such products.
Microsoft's vision reflects the target market and the price of the company's
products. However, the corporate vision lacks details to guide the organization's
development effectively. Ideally, the vision statement should include details about
the organization’s future status. In the case of Microsoft Vision, the corporation
does not have such information. Therefore, it is recommended that the company
review its vision to include information about where the business is going. For
example, Microsoft's vision statement could shed light on its target market
leadership for specific sets of computer technologies and software products in the
coming decades.

its strategic direction as a productivity and platform company. The restructuring

initiative.

Microsoft Structure(2000-2014)

latest organizational structure and transition to a divided organizational

structure offer the following advantages that businesses:
 First, under the new structure, the Chief Engineering Officer reports
directly to CEO Satya Nadella with a positive correlation on new
product development initiatives and innovation potential. This is
especially important to be able to introduce new products and
services to the market in the short term. In addition, the differences
between the engineering team and the business functions, as shown
in the figure above, show the technology giant's focus on business
direction under engineering groups such as cloud and artificial
intelligence.
 Second, organizational structure will eliminate bureaucracy in
business processes and procedures to a large extent, increase
business flexibility to adapt to external market changes.
 Third, initiative resulted in the elimination of about 7,400 positions,

new product development and increasing the competitiveness of
businesses along the corridor.

Another important aspect of corporate culture in Microsoft refers to the

high level of dynamics. In particular, technology CEO Satya Nadella is
continuing with the initiative and discontinuation of Microsoft worldwide
operations, and these initiatives are expected to further influence Microsoft's
culture.
Global corporations are a subset of the Microsoft organization. These
groups specialize in the computer technology business. For example, this group
has people dealing with the company's workforce and related concerns. The
structure of this poem is that the unit is fully functional. The following is a global
group of companies in the Microsoft structure.
 Office of the CEO
 Worldwide Business
 Marketing
 Microsoft Global Marketing and Operations
 Corporate Strategy and Operations
 Microsoft Cloud and Enterprise Group
 Finance
