Surah Al Baqarah 2 : 255

ARABIC

َُّ ٞ ۡ َ َ َ ٞ َ ُ ُ ُ ۡ َ َ ُ ُّ َ ۡ ُّ َ ۡ َ ُ َّ َ َ ٓ َ ُ َّ
‫ٱ  إِلٰه إِ هو ٱلح ۡٱل َقيوم ۚ  تأخ َّذهۥ ِسنة و نوم ۚ ل َّۥ‬
ٓ ُ َ ُ َ َۡ َ َ َ َ ٰ َ ٰ َ َّ َ
ِ‫ِي يشفع ِعندهۥ إ‬ َ ‫‹ض من ۡذا ٱل‬ ۗ ِ ‫ت وما َِف ٱل‬ ِ ‫ما ِف ٱلس َمو‬
ۡ َ َ ُ ُ َ ۡ ُ َ َ ََ ۡ ۡ ََۡ َ ُ ۡ َ ۡ
ٖ‫شء‬ ۡ َ ِ‫بِّإ ِ ۡذنِهِۚۦ ۡ يعل ٓم َّما ب َي َ أ ٓي َ ِديَ ِهم َ و ُما ۡ خ ُّل ُفه َّمۖ َو َ ي‬
َ َ ِ ‫يط َون َ ب‬
‫‹ض و‬ ۖ ‫ت وٱل‬ ِ ٰ ‫مِن ِعل ِمهِۦ إِ بِما شا ۡء ۚ و ِسع ۡ كر ِسيه ٱلسمٰو‬
ُ َ ُّ َ َ ُ َ َ ُ ُ ۡ ُ ُ ُٔ َ
³ ‫حفظهما ۚ وهو ٱلع ِل ٱلع ِظيم‬ ِ ‫يـودهۥ‬
TRANSLITERATION
Allāhu lā ilāha illā huwal-hayyul-qayyūm
lā ta’ khudhuhū sinatu wa-lā nawm
lahū mā fī s-samāwāti wa-mā fī l-ard
man dhā lladhī yashfa‘u ‘indahū illā bi-idhnih
ya‘ lamu mā bayna aydīhim wa-mā khalfahum
wa-lā yu hītūna
ītūna bi-shay-i mmin ‘ilmihī illā bi-mā shāa’
wasi‘a kursiyyuhu s-samāwāti wal-ard
wa-lā yaūduhū hifdhuhumā wa-huwal-‘aliyyul-‘adhīm

TRANSLATION
Allah - there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Self-Sustaining.
Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep.
To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth.
Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission?
He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them,
and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills.
His Kursī extends over the heavens and the earth,
and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great.

ītūna bi-shay-i mmin

He knows what is [presently] and they encompass not a thing
