BACKGROUND
The paragraph highlights how women's fashion evolved from the
restrictive Victorian era to the more liberated 1920s and beyond. It
notes how societal expectations influenced clothing choices, but as
women gained political rights, fashion changed to reflect this
newfound freedom. The emergence of the cocktail dress, particularly
the iconic little black dress, symbolized this shift towards more stylish
and liberated attire. Overall, women's fashion evolved alongside social
changes, celebrating greater equality and liberation.
NUMBER 1
WHAT OTHER SOCIAL MOVEMENTS HAVE BEEN
REFLECTED IN FASHION?

Other social movements reflected in fashion include the hippie

movement of the 1960s, which embraced casual, natural styles to
reflect anti-establishment sentiments, and the punk movement of
the 1970s, which used fashion as a form of rebellion with bold,
unconventional looks.
NUMBER 2
DO YOU THINK MEN AND WOMAN NO LONGER HAVE ANY
RESTRICTIONS ON THEIR CLOTHING CHOICES? WHY? OR WHY NOT?

While significant progress has been made in terms of clothing

choices for men and women, there are still some restrictions
influenced by cultural norms, workplace dress codes, and
societal expectations. However, compared to the rigid
restrictions of the past, contemporary society generally allows
for more individual expression and diversity in fashion choices.
NUMBER 3
IN THE PAST 100 YEARS, HOW MUCH HAVE ATTITUDES CHANGED
TOWARDS WOMENS CLOTHING IN YOUR COUNTRY?

Over the past century, attitudes towards women's clothing have

evolved significantly, particularly in terms of freedom of
expression and empowerment. From the modesty-driven styles of
the Victorian era to the liberation and empowerment symbolized
by the cocktail dress of the 1920s and subsequent fashion
movements, there has been a notable shift towards allowing
women more agency in their fashion choices, reflecting changing
social norms and values.
SO BASICALLY.....
Fashion reflects how society changes over time.
From strict rules in the past to more freedom now,
clothing has always mirrored social movements.
While some limits on what we wear still exist,
especially influenced by culture, there's been big
progress, especially for women. Fashion today
celebrates diversity and shows how far we've
come towards equality and freedom.
