What is Data Science?

-Data: we refer to a collection of information in either an organized or

unorganized.
1-Data organized: This refers to data that is sorted into a structured.
2-Data unorganized: This is the type of data usually text that must be parsed
further to become organized.
-Data Science: it is a science that deals with collecting and analyzing data.
-Data science is all about how we take data, use it to acquire knowledge, and then
use that knowledge to do the following:
 Make decisions.
 Predict the future.
 Understand the past/present.

-Data Science has a role in business.

Example: - Data scientists can help business leaders identify problems as well as
make it clear which data to collect and analyses to run to help solve those
problems.
- Business leaders can help data scientists by defining problems.
-Everyone can study data science, not just geniuses.
- Understanding data science begins with three basic areas:
 Math/statistics.
 Computer programming.
 Domain knowledge.
-Data Science is the intersection of the three key areas mentioned earlier. In order
to gain knowledge from data, we must be able to utilize computer programming to
access the data
