to be able to resume in-person studies during the Summer and

 1. Canada, the Province of Ontario, the City of Toronto and surrounding
municipal authorities have enacted special emergency measures,
regulations, guidelines and directives for the purpose of stopping the spread
of COVID-19 (collectively the “Emergency Measures”). I agree that I will take
responsibility for learning, understanding and abiding by such Emergency
Measures for as long as they remain in effect. I acknowledge that my
compliance with the Emergency Measures is particularly important as an
International Student at Humber and that Humber is being granted the right
to host International Students for this Academic Year on the basis of
compliance with the Emergency Measures. I agree to contact Humber
should I have any questions regarding compliance with the Emergency
Measures.
2. I agree to abide by the terms of the Humber Return to Campus Agreement if
I am to partake in on-campus activities. I agree to execute that agreement
before attending any Humber campus or other facility.
3. I agree to commit myself to following any order or direction given to me by
any governmental authority of Humber regarding COVID-19 Pandemic
safety measures.
4. I understand that I will be subject to special health and safety measures
required by law that are specific to International Students traveling to
Canada to commence or resume their studies during the COVID-19
Pandemic. Such measures are set out in detail in the guideline document
appended to this Agreement. Of particular importance I agree to the
following:
• I shall not attempt to travel to Canada if I am experiencing COVID-19
symptoms or if I know myself to be infected with COVID-19;
• I shall wear a mask during the entirety of my travel;
• I shall self-quarantine for a period of fourteen (14) days upon arrival to
Canada, meaning that I will remain in my place of residence, designated hotel
space or chosen quarantine location for the entirety of this period unless I
require medical attention;
• I shall ensure that I have a suitable plan in place for my self-quarantine period
that is acceptable to Humber before I depart for Canada and I understand
that failure to do so could result in my being denied entry to Canada;
• I may be asked to be isolated more strictly and for a longer period of time if I
exhibit symptoms of COVID-19 during the period of self-quarantine;

 • I will immediately update Humber regarding any changes to my health
condition through the iCent mobile app or by phone;
• I acknowledge that Humber is required to monitor my whereabouts and
wellness during self-quarantine and I agree to complete all correspondences,
phone calls or other methods of checking in that Humber may require of me
including GPS location services in the mobile app during the quarantine
period;
• During the duration of this Academic Year and while I remain in Canada, I will
notify Humber immediately in the even that I test positive for COVID-19 or am
exposed to a known case of COVID-19 and I agree to follow any direction
given to me by Humber with regards to self-isolation or other required safety
measures that may result. I also acknowledge that Humber is required to
monitor my well-being throughout this period and I will comply promptly with
all requests for updates or other communications from Humber. Once the
initial self-quarantine period is completed, GPS location services in the
mobile app will not be used for monitoring.
5. I affirm that I will promptly review all orientation and instructional materials
provided by Humber related to safety and other COVID-19-related
procedures as well as information about the currently applicable local
COVID-19 restrictions (the Emergency Measures and other relevant
materials).
6. I acknowledge that Humber as well as governmental authorities may make
updates without notice to me regarding the Emergency Measures, rules for
on-campus activities and other items that my impact me and I agree to follow
any such new rules, regulations or other directives.
7. I acknowledge that health and safety are shared responsibilities between
students and Humber and that if I fail to follow Humber’s instructions
regarding immigration, my return to campus or other responsibilities under
this Agreement, I may not be permitted to remain in Canada for my ongoing
studies.
8. I acknowledge that I may incur additional expenses as a result of
pandemic conditions and that I have the means to pay those expenses
without further financial support.
