The genset and electric components have been
equipped with their respective grounding terminals
which are all connected to the ground bronze in the
control cabinet. The bronze is connected to the
ground bolt on the base frame. Connect the ground
bolt to the land-dispersion (angle iron).
The connection to the land-dispersion must be
made with bare copper wires conductors with a
minimum section of 16mm2, or if not available,
galvanized iron with a 50mm2 section. The
resistance of such conductor, including contact
resistance, must not exceed 0.15 Ohm.

to the engine, making the coolant form a loop. The
preheat unit is supplied power by the mains supply.
Before starting the engine, connect the wirings of
the preheat unit to the mains supply, then turn on
the two ball valves (as shown in the below illustra-
tion). When you switch on the mains supply, the
preheat unit begins to work. Engine coolant enters
the preheat unit and flows back into the engine after
being heated. Much heat is put into the engine until
the temperature rises to the set value.
The preheat unit is equipped with a thermostat.
When the temperature of engine coolant is lower
than 27℃, the thermostat is on and coolant is
heated, and the thermostat would be closed and
stop working if the coolant temperature is higher
than 38℃.
Working voltage 240V / current 4.2A / power 1000W
Warning
• Do not dispose of battery in a fire.
The battery is capable of exploding.
If it explodes, electrolyte solution will
be released in all directions. Battery
electrolyte solution is caustic and can
cause severe burns and blindness. If
electrolyte contacts skin or eyes, im-
mediately flush the area with water and
seek medical attention quickly.

CHAPTER 5 — OPERATION FOR PLC-702 CONTROL SYSTEM
(1) Start-up
1) Set every circuit breaker and switch of loads to
“OFF” position.
2) Turn the Genset Main Circuit Breaker and other
circuit breakers to the “OFF” position.
3) Turn on the engine battery switch.
4) Turn the Key Switch (h) to the Auto Start posi-
tion (i) .
5) Press the Manual Start button (j).
6) The Pre-heat LED (f) will illuminate. Preheating
time varies by coolant temperature. Usually it
completes in about 30 seconds. After preheating
the LED puts out and the engine begins to start.
It will attempt to start again about 5 seconds later
if the engine fails to start.
7) After the engine starts successfully, allow the en-
gine to warm up for about 5 minutes. If the en-
gine could not fire during the pre-set number of
attempts to start, the Alarm LED (b) would flash.
If you need to restart, wait at least 30 seconds
before the retry.
8) Check the reading of Voltage Meter and Fre-
quency Meter by operating the Voltmeter
Change-Over Switch. Once the genset is run-
ning at the correct voltage and frequency, Turn
the Genset Main Circuit Breaker to “ON”.
9) Turn on every switch or circuit breaker of loads
(from heavy to light load in sequence), send
power to the load side.
Warning
• Before turning the Main Circuit Breaker
to “ON”, make sure any circuit breaker
and switch of loads are positioned to
“OFF”. Otherwise, it may cause electric
shock to the operator.
• Do not touch wires and connections to
the alternator when the genset is run-
ning, because they are live.

inet, turn the Selector Switch to the “Auto” po-
sition. Then the module will monitor the incom-
ing AC mains supply. If the mains supply has
voltage, the indicator of mains supply illuminates.
Turn on every switch or circuit breaker of loads
(from heavy to light load in sequence), the mains
supply will send power to the load side. The
genset does not run and is in standby mode.
On the contrary the module would perform the
auto start sequence if the mains supply has no
voltage. After the genset has started success-
fully, the automatic transform switch inside the
ATS control cabinet changes the load power to
the genset from the mains supply right away. At
the same time the indicator of genset illuminates.
Turn on every switch or circuit breaker of loads,
the genset will supply power to the loads.
The module continues to monitor the incoming
AC mains supply when the genset is running.
Once the mains supply has voltage, the auto-
matic transform switch would again change the
load power from the genset to the mains supply
right away, and the mains supply would send
power to the loads. At the same time the module
would perform its auto stop sequence. After the
engine stopping the genset would be in standby
mode again.
6) If the genset is connected to the remote con-
troller, turn the start switch to the “ON” position.
When the module monitors that the remote start
signal is active, it will perform the auto start se-
quence. After the genset has started success-
fully, turn on every switch or circuit breaker of
loads, the genset will supply power to the loads.
Note:
• Connect the ATS control cabinet or remote
controller to the genset before running.
• The control system would alarm if the genset
could not start successfully, or the output
voltage and frequency could not accord with
the preset value. Do not switch on any load
