• If load exceeds allowable amperage, the
cable may be damaged in overheating.
• If the cable is either too long or too small,

The genset and electric components have been
equipped with their respective grounding terminals
which are all connected to the ground bronze in the
control cabinet. The bronze is connected to the
ground bolt on the base frame. Connect the ground
bolt to the land-dispersion (angle iron).
The connection to the land-dispersion must be
made with bare copper wires conductors with a
minimum section of 16mm2, or if not available,
galvanized iron with a 50mm2 section. The
resistance of such conductor, including contact
resistance, must not exceed 0.15 Ohm.

preheat unit is supplied power by the mains supply.
Before starting the engine, connect the wirings of
the preheat unit to the mains supply, then turn on
the two ball valves (as shown in the below illustra-
tion). When you switch on the mains supply, the
preheat unit begins to work. Engine coolant enters
the preheat unit and flows back into the engine after
being heated. Much heat is put into the engine until
the temperature rises to the set value.
The preheat unit is equipped with a thermostat.
When the temperature of engine coolant is lower
than 27℃, the thermostat is on and coolant is
heated, and the thermostat would be closed and
stop working if the coolant temperature is higher
than 38℃.

Warning
• Do not dispose of battery in a fire.
The battery is capable of exploding.
If it explodes, electrolyte solution will
be released in all directions. Battery
electrolyte solution is caustic and can
cause severe burns and blindness. If
electrolyte contacts skin or eyes, im-
mediately flush the area with water and
seek medical attention quickly.

3.9 Water Jacket Preheat Connections

When the environmental temperature is low, the
temperature of engine intake and shell is low, so
the heat loss is very great and the engine starting
time is delayed. The lower the temperature is, The
longer the starting time is. If the environment tem-
perature is too low, the engine could not start suc-
cessfully because of the shortage of battery power.

base frame for connecting to the external fuel tank.
The user can connect the engine fuel system to an
external fuel tank according to the need.
1) Set two ball valves to the position in the illustra-
tion.
2) Connect the external fuel inlet and return hoses
to the ball valves as shown in the illustration.
3) Turn the two ball valves 90° anticlockwise. Then
engine fuel system is connected to the external
fuel tank. Make sure there is no fuel leakage in
the fuel line.
4) Extract the air in the fuel line.

Warning
• Stop the engine before connecting the
fuel system.
• Do not smoke or make light fires near the
genset or external fuel tank when con-
necting. Wear protective gloves, gog-
gles and clothe.
• Wipeoff all fuel residue after finishing
connection.
• The fuel level in the external fuel tank
should be 0 - 3m higher than the genset
bottom.
• The external fuel inlet bottom line should
be 10-15mm lower than the fuel inlet po-
sition.
• The fuel return should be set at the same
level as the fuel inlet level in the external
tank to avoid engine fault because of air
suction.
