You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.
You have received a letter from your English-speaking friend Mary who writes:

... Today I am going out with my friend. Frankly speaking, I am not the stay-at-home
sort. I often go to nightclubs and restaurants with my friends.
Do you prefer restaurant or home-cooked meals? Do you often go to restaurants?
What is your attitude towards fast food?
As for my news, I am going to find a part-time job...

Write a letter to Mary. In your letter, answer her questions, ask 3 questions about
her job.
You should write at least 120 words. You are not allowed to include your name or
address. Your response will be evaluated in terms of Task Fulfillment, Organization,
Vocabulary and Grammar.

Hi Mary,

I am happy to receive your email. How are you? I hope you and your family are well.
In your letter, you asked me about my food preferences. I enjoy eating at home the
most. You know, my mom is a professional cook, so the dishes we have at home are as
delicious as those in restaurants.

I don’t often have meals in restaurants because it is more expensive. I go to restaurants


with my family or with my friends on special occasions such as birthdays, holidays
and anniversaries. I’m not keen on fast food because it is harmful to my health and my
skin.

Glad to hear you are finding a part-time job! That’s exciting news. What kind of job
are you considering? How much do you want to get paid? Do your parents let you
work?

I have to go now. My mom’s calling me for dinner. Send my regards to your family.
