Dr. Irfan Landge

Dean, Academic Affairs

Anjuman-i-Islam’s Mohammed Haji Saboo Siddik College of Engineering is Starting a new

undergraduate programme: Computer Science & Engineering (Internet of Things & Cyber
Security including Block chain Technology) from the Academic Year 2022-23 which has been
approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi with an intake of 60
seats. This undergraduate programme familiarises students with the functional and operational
aspects of Internet of Things, Cyber Security and Block Chain Technology.
Internet of Things (IoT) is a modern technology that inter-relates computing devices which
enable transfer of data over a network without human intervention. IoT applications that are
already in use or that are soon to be developed hold great promise for improving user comfort,
productivity, and automation. It need high levels of security, privacy, authentication, and attack
recovery to build such a world in a way that is constantly expanding.
Cyber Security is a specialized field in Computer and Information Technology (IT). The goal of
cyber security courses is to give students the information and abilities needed to protect computer
networks, operating systems, and data from Cyber Attacks. Due to the rising number of
cybercrimes, the field of cyber security has evolved throughout time.
Cyber security experts are required by any industry that conducts business online or handles
sensitive data in order to protect it from such offenders. Cyber Security Experts find vulnerabilities,
provide hardware and software solutions that can reduce risks, and create security maintenance
policies and processes.
Block Chain Technology increases the security of IoT devices and the networks that connect
them by offering a trusted sharing service where data is accurate and traceable.
Block Chain enhances Cyber Security through stronger connections and encryption.
Career Opportunities:
Students in this programme will be empowered with an in-depth analysis of the security related
difficulties and potential sources of threat in IoT applications. The Cyber Security field presents
diverse career opportunities. Information security analyst, chief information security officer,
