MIN/001/2023: PRELIMINARIES
The meeting was opened with a word of prayer from Faith Nyamai.
Thereafter, Paul Mutisya gave the opening remarks emphasizing on the importance of
having a consolidated Kamba front.
He then invited Mr. Kamuti to chair the meeting.

It was agreed that a bank account be opened with Co-op bank being the preferred choice.
Membership
It was agreed that membership would commence immediately and go on until 5th January 2024
and membership fee would be 1,000 kshs.
Members also agreed on monthly contribution which will be done by 5 th of every month with
members suggesting 500 kshs (to be reviewed later).

b) Support members during sickness
Members were given an opportunity to discuss extend of sickness, who to be covered and the
amount to contribute in case of sickness and members had diverse ideas.
It was agreed by a majority of the members that only the registered member, their spouse and
children qualify for the sickness support in the meantime.
Seven (7) days of hospital admission were set as the minimum number of days for one to
qualify the sickness support or any other illness related condition, a panel of an odd number
will discuss the same on the principle of good faith.
It was agreed that only the nuclear family and parents to the registered member would be
considered for the bereavement support for the time being.
