Lesson delivery:

1. CD 1 Track 22 is played to review the story in textbook

page 16. A few questions are asked.

Why do the girls go to the wrong classroom?

Do the girls solve their problem?

How do the girls feel at the end of the story? Why?

2. Anna and Sandy’s Strip Book template is provided to each

pupil.

3. Based on the story they have listened; they sequence the

sentence strips and complete the strip book template.

Post-lesson: Pupils display their Anna and Sandy’s Strip

Content Standard:

Main: 2.1 Communicate simple information intelligibly

intelligibly for a range of purposes in print and digital

Pre-lesson: A few objects/events are written on the board

with an adjective that describes every word. Pupils must

brainstorm another adjective for every word in their groups.

Lesson delivery:

1. Teacher asks pupils how will their day be today? Teacher

gives an example.

2. Pupils conduct their next session in their groups. How do

you think tomorrow will be? (M)

3. Teacher guides pupils in forming sentences (L).

4. Every pupil receives two paper strips. Pupils are guided to

write a sentence on each paper to say what they think about

a subject and why.


5. In groups, pupils put their papers together. They mix them

up. Pupils take a paper in turn, and guess who wrote the

paper.

Post-lesson: Pupils then are guided to respond with their

opinion on whether they agree or disagree with their friends’

sentences.

Pre-lesson: Pupils are introduced to a few phrases. Clear the

table, take out the trash, rake leaves, shovel snow and feed

the fish.

Lesson delivery:

1. Pupils refer to textbook page 18. Teacher asks pupils what


kind of text it is and where would they find a page like that.

2. Pupils look at the pictures and guess what housework the

children have to do at home.

3. Pupils listen to CD 1 Track 25 and read to check.

4. Pupils answer the comprehension questions from

Teacher’s Book.

Post-lesson: Pupils exchange books to their friends’ books.

do at home.

4. Pupils share their write-up with their partners. Teacher

guides pupils to give feedback based on their partner’s work.

Post lesson: Pupils share with everyone what they do once a

week at home.

1. Each pupil is given a piece of A4 paper and asked to trace

their hands.

2. Pupils think of all the things that they can do with their

hands/ fingers and write them inside the outline of the hand.

3. Teacher reads the poem with gestures. Pupils follow the

teacher.

4. Each group is given an assessment memo. Pupils are

explained on how they can assess their friends.

5. Pupils practise their performance and perform in front of

the class.

6. Pupils from other groups assess their friends’

performances.

Post-lesson: Pupils get their assessment memo.
