Subject: 2O24 DIVISION SHOWCASING OF KINDERGARTEN TALENTS

1. In line with the MATATAG agenda of the Department of Education, which

emphasis the holistic development of Filipino learners and to conform with Omnibus
Policy of Kindergarten DepEd Order No. 46 s. 2016 Section IV - On Learning Program
Development that is child-centered and to promote the holistic way by which young
children grow and develop, and recognizes, the role of families and communities in
supporting the child through various stages of growth and development, the Schools
Division Office through the Curriculum Implementation Division (CID) shall conduct
the Division Showcasing of Kindergarten Talents to provide avenues for Kinder
Learners to expose their skills and talents through performances.

2. The Division Showcasing of Kindergarten Talents will be held on the following

dates and venues:

3. The competition aims to:

a. showcase the potentials of our kindergarten children to strengthen
their confidence and self-esteem,
b. develop camaraderie and sportsmanship among the participants,
c. enhance the quality standards of 5-year old children as identified in.
the activities,
d. sustain learners interest for learning literacy and numeracy; and
e. ensure that the physical, social, emotional, intellectual and spiritual
personality of young children are developed.

4. The contest categories are:
a. Vocal Solo Competition
b. Native/Ethnic/Folk Dance Competition
c. Story Reading
d. Story Telling
e. Guhit Bulilit
f Math Tinik
g. Initial Sound Identification Picture Based (Filipino)

5. Expenses inclusive of meals of the TWG and Board of Judges, medals for
winners and contest materials during the Division Kindergarten Festival of Talents
shall be charged against the Division MOOE- LASS fund while the transportation,
food and other allowable expenses incurred by participants and coaches will be
charged against their local./ canteen fund subject to, the usual accounting and
auditing rules and regulations.

7. Compliance to DepEd Order No.9 s. 2005 entitled "Instituting Measures to

Increase Engaged Time-On-Task and Ensuring Compliance Therewith," is strongly

Each district shall conduct their own selections/ competitions to select the
best contestants in all categories.
The PSDSs will submit one district entry for each category on or before May
1.5, 2024
Participants to this competition are currently enrolled kindergarten learners.
A contestant is allowed to participate in only one category.
The Teacher Coach for each category is required to submit a copy of
contestant's birth certificate, certification from the principal that the child is
currently enrolled in the school and parent's permit (see the formal below) to join the
contest.

The participants are given freedom to choose their own piece in vocal solo, while
in storytelling the title will be: "Si Piiong Patago-tago , while story reading will be
given during the actual contest.

There will be one theme for drawing.

• Mechanics in the conduct of the contest per category is to be
followed strictly.

• Winners per category will be identified by the Board of Judges.

• All participants will receive Certificate of Recognition and a Medal.
• The panel of judges shall be composed of a chairman and 2
members.
• Certificate of Recognition shall be given to all the Division Trainers
and to the School Heads of the participating school.
• The decision of the judges is final and irrevocable.

Each contestant is free to choose any song appropriate to children.

Performance time is 2-3 minutes including entrance and exit

Minus-one music or live piano or guitar can be used as

accompaniment; however; contestants are allowed to sing without
accompaniment.

C. Dynamics - 15%
D. Diction - 15%

The group is composed of at least 1 pair, 4 males & 4 females but
should not exceed 8 members
Time of performance should not exceed 5 minutes including
entrance & exit.

The contestant will be given 2 minutes for acquaintance with
the piece or story.
The piece shall be delivered within 3 minutes.

The winners will be chosen by the panel of judges based on the
general criteria below.

Criteria for Judging:

The winner will be chosen by the panel of judges based on the
criteria below:

B. Voice Projection/Verbal Style — 20%
C. Expression/Distinct Style - 20%
D. Level of Confidence - 5%

5. INITIAL SOUND IDENTIFICATION - PICTURE BASED (Filipino)

What are the awards?

ISI PB Awardee of the Year (First Place) -
Each participant will receive Certificate of Recognition and Medal.

Event Rules and Mechanics

There will be twenty pictures to be shown to participate
individually. They will give the initial sound of the pictures. Learners
will be ranked according to their scores. In case of a tie, the determiner
will be the time recorded for each participant.
The moderator should say: Magandang Umaga mga Bata! Ako
si Titser . Magpapakita ako ng mga larawan. Nais ni Titser
na ibigay ninyo ang tunong ng unang letra ng larawan na ipapakita ko.
Handa na bal Simulan na natin!
6. GUHIT BULILIT
What are the awards?
Batang Fernando Amorsolo 2024 - (First Place)
Each contestant will receive certificates and medals.
Event Rules and Mechanics
• Participants may be accompanied by one (1) teacher coach.
However, they are only allowed to assist the participants during
the setting-up of materials during the event.
• Participants should be at the venue on time
• Materials shall be provided by Technical Working Group.
• Participants are not allowed to bring photos for reference of
their entries.
• The subject of the drawing shall be based on the theme which
shall be given during the event.
• Participants shall use pencil and crayons of ten (10) by eight (8).
inches (10 x 8) illustration board.
• Participants shall be given two (2) hours to finish their
artworks/ outputs.
• The delivery is in the Mother Tongue/ Li for a maximum of five
(5) minutes (Tell) .

Criteria for Judging:

The winners will be chosen based on the following criteria:

Math Wiz Kid 2024

Each contestant will receive the certificates and medals.

Event Rules and Mechanics

1. One contestant per school will participate to the Math Tinik
category: Participants will bring their own tangrams (7" x
7")

2. There are 3 rounds to complete the contest category: easy,

average and difficult. Points will be 1 point for easy, 2
points for average and 3 points for difficult. For easy round
5 colored figures will be flashed on the screen as pattern for
the participants to assemble; for average round, 5 outlined
figures will be flashed as pattern; for difficult, 5 solid black
figures will be flashed.

3. Participants will arrange the tangrams based on the given

figure and time (Easy round 60 seconds per figure; Average
round 90 seconds; Difficult round 120 seconds).
