Balloon Rocket
When you spark your child’s curiosity and imagination, you’re helping set
them up to be a lifelong learner. You can start with this easy balloon rocket
activity! It will help your kids learn about force, action and reaction.

What you’ll — Instructions —


— Need — 1 String the drinking straw on the yarn.
2 Place the chairs apart from each other.
1 balloon
3 Stretch the yarn between the two chairs.
Yarn or string (about 6 feet)
4 Tie the ends of the yarn to the chairs.
1 drinking straw 5 Inflate the balloon, leaving the end untied
(hold onto it or pinch the end with a clip).
Tape
6 Attach the balloon to the straw on the
Scissors string using two strips of tape.

2 chairs 7 Pull the balloon to one end of the yarn.


8 Let the balloon go!
