1. Let's Create Music!

● Print the Let's Create Music Activity Cards. Cut apart along the lines. Laminate or Cover.
● Shuffle the cards and place them face down in a pile in front of the student.
● The student selects 4 cards and places them face up in any order that they choose.
● The student claps their rhythm.
● The student creates a melody for their rhythm.
● The student writes their melody down on manuscript paper or they can enter it into a
Score Writing App.
● The student can add any of the following to their melody:
- lyrics
- a title
- left hand harmonies
- dynamics (p, mp, f, mf, cres, decres), articulations (legato, staccato) and tempo
markings (moderato etc)
● The student plays their song along with a backing track.
