II. Session Details
Session Title: Gender Sensitivity
Session At the end of the session, learners will be able to:
Objectives: a) Identify and critically analyze gender stereotypes prevalent in
society, media and everyday life.
b) Discusses gender equality, allowing learners to express their
thought, questions, and concerns in a supportive learning
environment.
c) Create expressions through art, writing or role play that
challenge gender norms and promote a positive and inclusive
narrative.
Key Concepts: 1. Gender sensitivity refers to the awareness, understanding, and
consideration of the diverse roles, experiences, and needs of
individuals based on their gender.
2. Gender equality is the principle of providing equal rights,
opportunities, and treatment to individuals regardless of
their gender.
3. Gender stereotypes are preconceived and culturally
influenced expectations about the behaviors, roles, and
characteristics deemed appropriate for individuals based
on their gender.
