Last Sunday was the Mooncake Festival. Alice and her family celebrated the
festival at night. Her mother bought scrumptious mooncakes home and a few
colourful lanterns for Alice and her sister.
In the evening, Alice’s uncle, aunt and cousins came over. After her uncle
helped her father to put a table in the garden, her mother arranged the mooncakes,
peanuts and cookies on it.
When the clock struck at eight, the adults sat around the table and started
enjoying the mooncakes and drinking Chinese tea in the moonlight. Meanwhile,
the children carried their lanterns happily around the house.
Alice had a whale of time celebrating Mooncake Festival. It was indeed a
