On May 2, 2024, at 3 PM the Guidance and Counselling Office conducted a webinar about

nurturing mental health amidst the pandemic and invited Dr. Pastor Manggagamot as a
speaker.
The team of counselors spearheaded the online activity which started with the preliminaries
such as the invocation, the singing of the Philippine National Anthem, and the school hymn.
The distinguished speaker is a psychologist who spoke about the important subject of sound
mind amid COVID-19.
Via Zoom app, Dr. Manggagamot held forth about what mental health is, and the
characteristics of a person with good mental health. Furthermore, he also explained the causes of
depression, how to spot a person suffering from it, and what to do to help the affected ones. After
the lecture, an open forum where student participants asked questions to the speaker was done.
The head of the RMMC Guidance and Counseling, Dr. Sally Mu-ang ended the webinar with
her message reminding everyone to be sensitive towards fellowmen.

RMMC Guidance and Testing Center conducted a “Kaagapay Series 104” webinar on May
3, 2024, from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM.
The organization kicked off the online seminar with preliminaries, exchanging greetings among
Sir Marlon Ranises, Erolled T. Piloton, and the students of RMMC. Then, Mr. Angelbert Z.
Hernandez, MA, LPT, RGC, RPM was introduced as the resource speaker.

The activity was focused on Gender and Development (GAD). It is a development perspective
and process that is participatory and empowering, equitable, sustainable, free from violence,
respectful of human rights, and supportive of self-determination and actualization of human
potential.
Through the Zoom app, the speaker delivered and provided the students and the school's
teachers with information about sensitivity to gender inequality and problems of gender
discrimination.

This was done to help students and teachers integrate gender equality, sensitivity, and human
rights to ensure a learner-friendly and employee-friendly school environment. Not only that, but
it was also done to attain a society in which women and men enjoy the same opportunities,
rights, and obligations in their lives as this is one of the important objectives of gender equality.

The lecture event is dedicated to teachers under the Teacher Education Program (TEP).
Pedindo gave a lecture and spoke about the latest innovations in the field of education in
terms of strategies, approaches, and methods that fit the new breed of learners, Pedindo also
introduced games that could be used by teachers to motivate students to become more engaged
and involved in their learning.
This was done to equip teachers with the latest trends in online teaching. To effectively
engage their students and for them to create a more dynamic and purposeful learning
environment for students.
