III. My Learnings (Answer the following questions comprehensively to describe your learnings from the attended session.
You may include data or pieces of literature to explain your claims.)

1. What are the key principles that you have learned from the topics discussed?
2. How do you think these courses/topics help you in your academic journey as a professional
or future school head?
3. What action will I take to apply these learnings?
4. Cite instances where the topics had been applied in your current station.

1. There are a lot of key principles I have learned from the discussion that I am sure are vital

for me as I am taking the path of becoming a teacher. Also, having this discussion will serve

as my basis and foundation in my academic journey. In the first part of the discussion, the

discussants focused on the learners that they can be in using and utilizing technology in the

learning process. I have learned that as a learner, we all know that technology becomes an

integral part of our daily lives, in everything we do there is the technology we can use that

makes it for us to do easier and bearable, hence, technology also becomes important and has

an impact on education setting transforming both teaching and learning experience of the
students. For instance, since learners are becoming inclined toward technology therefore

learners can become not only consumers of knowledge but also they can become

contributors in they can share their perspective on a certain topic or upload materials such as

a video and pictures that can help other people most especially students like them, say for

example during lockdown and pandemic a lot of students sharing their notes from the

specific subject in their social media to help other students to have an advance study for the

upcoming classes. In addition, learners can become also collaborators in which technology

plays an important role wherein even though they are away from each other or do not know

each other with the use and utilization of technology learners can become collaborators

wherein they can interact with their peers and other people who come from diverse

backgrounds, by that they can benefit from diverse perspectives and insight to achieve shared

goals which are to learn. Aside from the two, learners can also become creators. They can

showcase their talents, with the use and access to technology they can generate their own

content and ideas to such things such as they can create presentations, posters also they can

create and produce their own digital stories, and share them with everyone.

To summarize what I have learned in this part, First and foremost, gaining the attention of

the students. We can’t deny the fact that some students are being distracted for some reason.

For me, in my own understanding of this part, capturing the attention of your students is

where the learning starts. When you get the attention of students and make them focus on

what you are discussing it means you peak their interest. Also, stating the objectives of your

lesson is also important as it may help them to understand what should be obtained in that

specific lesson and what the expected outcome. Another, knowing the experience of your

students by making them relate to the topic also helps to make students engage during the

class. It allows active learning wherein teachers and students have an interaction or a two way
process. On the other hand, thinking in an appropriate way on how you present the content

of the lesson is significant. It should be organized so that students can understand it easily

and as a teacher you must think of appropriate methods in making your student learn

effectively and meaningfully. Thus, assessing their performance and providing feedback

allows students to understand their own progress and help themselves learn how to learn. All

in all, facilitating the learning of the students and allowing them to engage in class. The role

of the teacher is vital as they play an integral part in the learning of the students. Bloom's

Taxonomy we already tackled this in a previous report. On the other hand,Bloom taxonomy

was pioneered by Benjamin Bloom and he established it to categories educational goals in

which at the top of the pyramid is Evaluation followed by Synthesis, Analysis, Application,

Comprehension and Knowledge however this was revised from Noun to Verb form. At the

top of the pyramid is Create, followed by Evaluate, Analyze, Apply, Understand and

Remember. Another, Addie's Model is the one that is used in instructional design which

stresses the complete process of designing learning content. This model based on what I

have learned has five phases which are Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation and

Evaluation. In analysis phases, identifying the goals and learning objectives or outcome is

being emphasized as in this phase that Instructional designers should identify this and

analyze the learners including their prior knowledge, skills and competencies.

After the phase of Analyze, Design refers to making a blueprint consisting of all the

necessary content to be included for instance, the learning objectives or goals. This is also

where choosing appropriate strategies. This focuses on overall structure or learning

experience. Next, Development where the content is being developed. Implementation

where the learning program or the whole content was put into practice and Lastly,
Evaluation where the overall effectiveness, achievement and so on and so forth was being

assessed. Those are the main key principles that I have learned from these topics.

2. I believe that these subjects/courses benefit me in my academic endeavors as a

professional or prospective principal. Since I think that a school administrator or other

professional should have a better comprehension and knowledge of how to create learning

materials that are suited for the pupils. Additionally, it would be preferable if we had

knowledge of several models or designs, such as Bloom's Taxonomy, Addie's Model, and

Events of Instruction, since these may help us create complete and pertinent instructional

materials. Because they instruct us to use these models and select proper design when

generating instructional materials, this topic and these courses are therefore significant to

anyone. Additionally, it gives me the chance to learn new things and expand my expertise in

instructional material creation, both of which will be very beneficial to me academically.

3. I will put what I have learned into practice as I prepare to become a teacher in the future.

This is how I plan to use the knowledge I have gained. Since I'll be the one in charge of the

class and implementing the curriculum in the future, I should become an expert on this

subject. I'll also put my newfound knowledge to use through a variety of tasks that are

relevant to this particular topic. In addition, I'm using a hands-on approach to increase my

understanding of instructional content, which I know will be extremely important for my

academic career.
4. In fact, my current station has used this subject matter in a few different contexts. To

offer two instances, the first is when we have to prepare instructional materials for a mock

demo and lesson that will help our students learn. Nevertheless, creating specialized teaching

materials is a difficult task. It's why I have similar difficulties when I do it. Another is the

teaching demo I have coming up, for which I will be creating the lesson plans I will utilize.

Given that the scenario will be crucial to my demo, I selected a relevant instructive to utilize

in it.
