4 Bootable flash
Bootable USB is basically an OS installation media , which has been written into a DVD or USB drive ,
using Windows official USB/DVD download tool or flash the ISO file using third party apps like RUFUS
etc.

What is the basic purpose of bootable flash

The basic purpose of bootable flash is to install widows in laptops without any other external drives like
CD drives etc. Sometimes windows of our laptop is corrupt and we need new window. For this we need
CD drives and other means of installing for windows. Therefore we need bootable flash.

4.1 Software used for making bootable flash

There a lot of software used for booting the USB.

1. Rufus
2. Windows USB/DVD Tool
3. UNetbootin
4. Etcher
5. YUMI Multiboot USB Creator
6. RMPrepUSB
7. WinToUSB -

But I used rufus software because it is best and easily useable.

4.2 Iso File

An ISO file, often called an ISO image, is a single file that's a perfect representation of an entire CD,
DVD, or BD. The entire contents of a disc can be precisely duplicated in a single ISO file.

An iso file can be used in three ways;

1 -Mounting

2-Burning

4.3 Version of Rufus Software Used For Making Bootable Flash

The version of rufus which I used for making bootable flash is 3.1.1320.

It is the latest version of rufus software.

The size of iso file of window is 3.80 Gb.

4.6 Rufus software

1- First of all download rufus.

2- After downloading rufus open it and run it as administrator.
3- After installation open it.
4- After opening the rufus, it automatically detect the USB plug in.
5- Now go to the boot selection and select the iso file or anything else you want to make
6- boot.
7- After selecting the iso file change the name of drive you used to make booting and select the
USB type.
8- Now click on the start button and it automatically start and after booting it auto eject the USB

4.7 Storage of Flash drive

1-The storage of flash drive which I used for making booting is 8Gb.

4.8 Learning From This Task

From this task I learn how to make a bootable flash and how to use it when it is emergency.

5 DVD Burning
DVD Burning is basically an OS installation media , which has been written into a DVD or
CD drives, using Windows official Cd/DVD download tool or burn the ISO file using third party
apps like NERO etc.

5.1 Basic purpose of DVD burning

The basic purpose of DVD Burning is to install widows in laptops without any other external
drives like CD drives etc. Sometimes windows of our laptop is corrupt and we need new
window. For this we need CD drives and other means of installing for window .Therefore we
need burned DVD.

5.2 Software used for DVD Burning

There a lots of software apps used for DVD burning . Some are easy to use and some are

5.3 Version Of Software Used For DVD Burning

The version of Nero Software that I used for DVD burning is the latest version of Nero
Software and its version is 4.15.

5.4 Nero Software

In below picture which is the home page of Nero software you can see different option. You can
see start page, rip and burn, create and edit, home entertainment and back up. Also you can add
and remove features. Besides adding and removing you can see at the side there are two options
given one is data burning and other is copy disc. You can burn the data and also copy the disc
data.

5.5 Process of Burning

(a) After home page go to the data burning for further process.

(b) In data burning if you want to change the name of your device you can change it.
(c) After changing the name of your device go to the add option.
(d) Here you can add the data which is you want to burn.
(e) After adding data for burning start the process of burning.
(f) Your drive automatically eject after the process of burning complete.

5.6 Size Of DVD Drive

The DVD Drive which I used for burning are capacity of 4.7 GB.

5.7 Learning From This Task

From this task I learn how to make DVD burn.

6 SRT File

An SRT file (otherwise known as a SubRip Subtitle file) is a plain-text file that contains critical
information regarding subtitles, including the start and end time codes of your text to ensure your
subtitles match your audio, and the sequential number of subtitles. It's important to note, an SRT
file is just a text file you would use alongside video or audio it does not also include the video or
audio you're subtitling.Sub Rip subtitle or SRT file is a file that contain captions.

6.1 Need Of SRT File

We need SRT file in movies and lectures. Sometimes you are going to watch movies and there
way of speaking and accent is very fast and you can’t understand it what are they saying. That’s
why you are going to need the SRT File.

6.2 Software Used For Adding SRT File

You can’t add simply SRT file into movies. For this you need a proper software for adding
file.There a lots of software used for this purpose but mostly used software are two which is
given below;

6.3 Why I Need SRT File

I am watching the movies but they speak very fast in movies and I can’t understand fully. That’s
why I need SRT file to add in movies for better understanding.

6.4 Software Used For SRF File Adding

I used mkvtool link software for adding two subtitle files in two movies.

1. Ratatouille.
2. Woody.Woodpecker

6.5 Source Of Movies And SRT File

These two movies are already downloaded and place in drive. For SRT file I download these two
files from google and these files are in Blu Ray because my movies are in Blu Ray that’s why I
download Blu Ray subtitles files.

6.6 Process Of Adding SRT File

The process of adding SRT file is given below;

1. First of all install the software.

2. After installation open the software and place the destination file and movies in the
destination location.
3. After placing files in the given location start multiplexing the files.
4. After multiplexing save the multiplexed files and close the app.
5. In below picture the process which I mention above is written in picture and you can
easily understand and use this app.

6.7 Learning From This Task

From this task learnt how to use SRT file in the movies and how to add. Besides if you are good
in adding files and in editing you can start free lancing jobs on internet. You can add the files in
movies videos and start to earn.

7 How to make your own SRT file
In this task I am going to write how to make your own SRT file. I record a demo of my own
video in which I talked about how to convert your word file into pdf file. Sometimes people
made a file on word but they don’t know how to convert their word file into pdf file. That’s why
I made a demo and for better understanding I add subtitle on video.

7.1 Making of SRT file

To make SRT file you don’t need any special software or application to do this. You can simply
make your file through notepad.

7.2 Process of making file

As I early mention above that for making SRT file you don’t need any special software or
application you can simply make file through notepad.

For this go to the windows start button and search their notepad and open it. But there are
conditions using notepad that is you have to write the code correctly and use the symbols well.
Otherwise your file doesn’t work properly.

7.3 Writing in notepad

The process of writing code and sentences are given below;

1. First of all open the notepad.

2. Second after opening the notepad start writing the code properly.
3. The code you are going to write must be written in this format.

4. After coding write your sentences according to the coding otherwise it doesn’t work.

7.4 Learning
From this task I learn how to make the SRT file and how to use it.

8 VIRUS
 To understand the concept of virus first of all you have to know what is virus and why it is
dangerous to the computer and its file.
 First you have to understand the term virus . Basically the term virus consist of five alphabets.

1. V vital
2. I information
3. R resources
4. U under
5. S seize

So the term virus mean vital information resources under seize. Now come to the definition of virus to see
what it is say. According to the definition of virus;

“A virus is a piece of code that is loaded onto your computer without your knowledge and runs against
your wishes.”

So virus is the program that runs on computer without user permission and destroy important files.

8.1 Why It Is Dangerous

Virus is very dangerous for computer and its files. It destroy the important files and effect on Pc
performance and its health. Besides one can easily access your personal information through virus
program and leak your information.

8.2 Protection against Virus

Today’s pc have their own antivirus and windows defender against virus and other hazards . But the pc
who don’t have their own antivirus and windows defender needs to install antivirus.

8.3 Avast Antivirus

Avast is also an antivirus use to remove the virus in your system and to protect your privacy. Avast is the
latest antivirus application which have many features like protection against viruses, web browser ,vpn

and others features. But there is one problem in using Avast antivirus that is Avast is not free software .
To use fully features of Avast you have to paid.

8.4 Process of Installation

To install Avast on your system you have to download it from google and other browsers which
are you using.

I. First of all download Avast from google.

II. After downloading run according to the conditions given by your system.
III. After running click on the install button given and it start downloading.
IV. During installation don’t turn off your computer othervise Avast can’t install on your
system.
V. It takes some time to install so be patience and wait with patience and drink some cold
drinks to cool up yourself.
VI. When the installation is completed click the finish and launch the app.
VII. Enjoy the Avast antivirus on your system.

8.5 Drawbacks Of Avast Software

Although Avast is good antivirus software and due to this your system have minimum chance of
attack of virus and your system are fully protect but it have some drawbacks and user feel
difficulty to use.

a) First to install Avast you have an active internet connection for installing.
b) Second is that Avast is not fully active in fee version and for full use of Avast you have
to paid.
c) Third is that Avast sometimes acts as a virus which is danger to computer.
d) Fourth is that Avast gives warning even on visiting a simple website like google etc.
