PERSONAL STATEMENT

RABIWU ABDUL LATIF

MSc Information and Technology

After my secondary school, I worked as a sales person in a company called Koach computers
which deals in sales and repairs of software and hardware of computer. After working for almost
a year as a sales person in Koach computers, I developed interest in computers and realized that I
need to step out of the corporate world to enhance my skills even more to keep me at par with
this ever changing world. So further my education in Information Technology Education in
University of Education Winneba.

As technology has become part of our world and plays an important role in our business with the
e-commerce, the need to be computer literate is a matter of importance to everyone. Most of
these e-commerce companies need to provide the right information about their products to the
customers at the time to enhance their business. The need to protect and keep data confidential
from cybercrime has made many companies to see the importance to hire good cyber security
analysis to protect information of the company, their employees and customers. With my desire
for Information and Technology combined with my strong background of Programming &
Analytical skills and Database, I would like to create an environment which would be Solid,
Secure and Safe.

The MSc in Information and Technology at Leeds Beckett University seems to be tailored for
my needs. With the highly qualified faculty, research facilities and computing resources at your
University I believe I would be able to pursue my career aspirations. I have motivation, aptitude
and desire to learn. I hope that my academic background coupled with my work experience and
knack towards the subject will enable me develop myself into a future Computer science
professional. I look forward to an interesting and rewarding association with your esteemed
University.
