1. What are the top three most significant insights gained during community
implementation?

1.) Pronunciation of vowels should be prioritized first in reading as students

reading should be given extra attention. 3.) We should show that we are happy with the
students’ progress by complimenting them.

2. These insights are valuable to me personally because…

These insights are valuable to me because they emphasize the importance of

foundational literacy skills, the need for inclusive and supportive teaching strategies to
ensure that no student falls behind, and the positive impact of encouragement and
recognition on student motivation and confidence.

3. What essential values have I achieved/strengthened through the activity (e.g.,

excellence, honesty and integrity, innovation, teamwork)? Why?

Through the activity, I achieved and strengthened important values such as

excellence, by striving to provide high-quality education and support to students; and
teamwork, by effectively collaborating with fellow volunteers to maximize the
activity’s impact. These principles were critical in generating a happy and productive
learning environment, as well as assuring the community's successful
implementation.

4. How did the project impacted the community or beneficiaries?

The project greatly enhanced students' literacy skills, notably in

reading, increased their confidence and motivation through personalized attention and
positive reinforcement, and created a supportive learning atmosphere in the community.

During the community implementation, I learnt the value of patience and adaptability in
teaching, gained a deeper understanding for students who struggle with reading, and realized
the powerful impact of positive reinforcement on student progress and self-esteem.

6. How do you think this project has contributed to your overall development as a
responsible citizen

This initiative has increased my feeling of social responsibility, deepened my dedication to

community service, and taught me the importance of actively contributing to others'
scholastic and personal development, strengthening my position as a proactive and
compassionate member of society.
