1.0 Introduction
The purpose of this test is to demonstrate the Annual Capacity Test (ACT) under PPA Article-VIII
Section 8.4, after Commercial Operation Date. During each Demonstration Period the test “Annual
Capacity Test” will be conducted to determine the Tested Capacity of the Complex. Net Power Output
will be measured at the interconnection point (Tariff Meter) and will be corrected to following reference
conditions:
The “Annual Capacity Test” will be performed during demonstration period each Operating Year. The
test period will be of six (6) continuous hours using existing tariff metering system and plant
instrumentation for measurements.
The measurement values will be corrected to reference conditions by means of correction curves. The
NTDC team will witness the test.
Manual log sheets and Plant DCS system will collect test data. Hard copies of DCS printouts as per
requirements will be collected at the end of the test and will be countersigned for validation by all parties.
FPCDL will be responsible for the test coordination with NTDC and to organize a testing team
satisfactory to all parties. This is also to be ensured that the required test instrumentation, consisting of
permanent plant equipment is properly calibrated before the start of test.
The test will be deemed successful if, after the application of the correction to the reference conditions,
Ambient Air Temperature (27oC), Relative Humidity (52%), Barometric Pressure (1.0047 bar). The Net
Output is as per “Output Degradation Factor” table (attached). Either party will have the right to reject the
test within 24 hours in accordance with the PPA Section 8.4 (e).

6.0 Computation of Test Result
The measured average Net Power Output will be corrected with reference operating conditions according
to correction curves provided in Attachment 8.2, the corrected Net Power Output will be determined as
follows:
Where,
PC Corrected Net Power Output
PM Measured Net Power Output
F1 Correction Factor for ambient air pressure at test condition
F2 Correction Factor for ambient air temperature at test condition
F3 Correction Factor for relative humidity at test condition
The average value of six (6) hours of measured Net Power Output will be corrected and will be taken as
final determination of ACT value.
Note: The interpolation formula will be used to determine the correction factor for the relative humidity.
At the end of test, on site a calculation to obtain preliminary results will be carried out within 24 hours.
This calculation involves an analysis to find out observer errors, instrument errors or failures and other
causes to repeat the test.
The definitive results, appearing in the Official Report, will be available after the official analysis of test
data and results.
Note: Copies of the Test Report will be submitted to NTDC for approval.

To determine the value between two points, one of the simplest methods is linear interpolation (sometimes
known as lerp). Consider the above example of determining f (2.5). Since 2.5 is midway between 2 and 3, it
is reasonable to take f (2.5) midway between f (2) = 0.9093 and f (3) = 0.1411, which yields 0.5252.
Generally, linear interpolation takes two data points, say (xa,ya) and (xb,yb), and the interpolate is given by:
