This subject examines concepts and practical issues in Strategic
Management. Processes dealing with environmental scanning,
strategy formulation, strategy implementation, and evaluation and
control.

This zoom class will be used and is considered official class hours, it will be used to
introduce topics and the student will be expected to complete background reading
prior to the lectures as directed. Considerable emphasis will be placed on current
international business issues.

Students are encouraged to undertake academic research of topics under discussion
and when including the work of others in their assignments and presentations must
acknowledge sources with accurate references, both in-text citations and a
bibliography if appropriate. Plagiarism, or any other form of cheating will not
be tolerated and any assignment containing plagiarized material will
receive a zero grade.
In-class participation
As an aspect of the learning process the active sharing of ideas and experiences is
most important and accordingly students are required to participate in class
discussions. In particular, students will be expected to work at different times with
fellow students in researching, documenting and presenting several set
assignments. There will be a major project, will include group presentations during
the second part of the course.
Because of the current state of world trade negotiations, you are encouraged to read
the local and international business press daily and be prepared to discuss
newspaper articles and business journals in class. You will be evaluated overall not
only on your group presentations but also on your individual participation.
Class Attendance:
This zoom class is considered official class hours, so please observe the following
guidelines:
You need to be in a room, as in a class meeting
you will be marked present only if join the class with your zoom camera open,
otherwise will be treated as absent.

Presentations of assignments will be done online by zoom app.
All materials will be sent through neolms.
You should be visible to the group all the time and participate actively or will be
marked absent

the online class is no less than the real class on site. expectations are the same
except mode of delivery and mode of interaction.
The Dean, Program Director, and Lecturer are each empowered to withdraw or
withhold correction of the final examination papers of any students who fail to meet
the class attendance requirements.
Grade Structure:
The points for each assignment and the grade summary are shown below. Final
course averages will be rounded to whole percentages. Grades will not be curved and
there are no extra credit assignments.

The Group project will be using an excel sheet and the student assuming the role of
strategic audit cover the following topics:
1. Company background and marketing situation
2. Environmental Scanning and Industry Analysis (EFAS และ IFAS)
3. Strategy Formulation (SFAS, TOWS Matrix, alternative strategies)
4. Recommended strategies (Corporate Strategies, Business Strategies and
Functional Strategies)
5. Strategy Implementation
6. Evaluation and Control

Assumption University requests the cooperation of all students to complete the online

students’ evaluation of the teaching and learning in each course each
