Reflection about the Blind Soldiers

Five men from the TEDURAY tribe in Cotabato, Philippines

joined the United States Armed Forces in World War 2 even though they
did not know how to use guns or speak English. As the Japanese
invasion intensified, the Americans recruited the men due to a lack of
soldiers, despite the men's lack of military experience or knowledge. The
blind soldier shows the value of Filipinos fighting to protect their
homeland regardless of disadvantages or risks. It also illustrates the
importance of education and standing up for one's country.
In the movie the blind soldiers, I felt so many emotions because of
the different scenes that was shown in the movie, I got slightly angry
when the five teduray got discriminated but despite all of it, they are
together supporting and watching each others back. Sadly, 2 of them
died during the battle and I actually hold back my tears that time cause I
was shy. The movie leaves us a life lesson about embracing and
respecting our difference, staying strong in times of dilemma, the
importance of education and many more.
In my perspective, the blind soldiers is a highly recommended for
everyone to watch because of its storyline and the lesson that we can
obtain from it. The movie is very authentic, mix genre, inspiring and
interesting. The production made a good job and a 10/10 work in making
the movie.
