To treat something sacred with great disrespect, to put something to a wrong of

vulgar use

what is an example of Profane:?

Profane can be anything that is not sacred. By this definition, even the ordinary events of life can be
considered profane. For example, taking a walk, cooking dinner, talking on the. phone are examples of
the profane.

The profane is the precise opposite of the sacred, and refers to everything that has no special link to
God. Whereas my home is profane, God's house is sacred; whereas the lamb grazing in the field is
profane, the lamb presented as a sacrificial offering to God is sacred.

Lamb ect: what makes it sacred is that it has a link to God in that it will be used in a sacred manner.

Lev 22:2 Tell Aaron and his sons to treat with respect the sacred offerings the Israelites consecrate to me,

The Hebrew word translated “strange” means “unauthorized, foreign, or profane.” God not only
rejected their sacrifice; He found it so offensive that He consumed the two men with fire.

Lev 10:1-2 And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein,
and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the LORD, which he commanded them not. [2]
And there went out fire from the LORD, and devoured them, and they died before the LORD.
