My two-day nursing exposure at Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital was a
transformative experience, providing me with valuable insights into the realities of healthcare in the
Philippines. Under the guidance of Ms. April Loro, our clinical instructor, I had the opportunity to work in the
Emergency Room (ER) for the first time and witness firsthand the challenges and rewards of nursing practice.

On the first day, everything was new and overwhelming. The ER was bustling with activity, and I was
shocked by the sheer number of patients and the urgency of their conditions. It was a stark reminder of the
limitations of Philippine healthcare and the need for dedicated and compassionate professionals.

As the days progressed, I began to feel more comfortable in the environment. On the second day, I was able to
assist in administering intramuscular medications, perform ECG readings, and take patients' vital signs. These
hands-on experiences were eye-opening and reinforced the importance of applying theoretical knowledge to
practical situations.

The third day was particularly memorable as we were relocated to vcho for a delivery room exposure.
Witnessing the miracle of childbirth was a profound experience that highlighted the importance of empathy
and compassionate care in nursing.

Overall, this nursing exposure taught me valuable lessons that will stay with me throughout my career. I
learned the importance of adaptability, teamwork, and continuous learning in nursing practice. Despite the
challenges, I am inspired by the resilience and dedication of healthcare professionals and am eager to
contribute to the improvement of healthcare in the Philippines.
