The Figure 1 represents the typical painting requirements for Spiral Wound Gaskets : Alloy 625, graphite filled CS centering ring/Alloy 625 inner ring.
Paints** shall be applied only on the CS centering ring on outer sides.

Paints** :-Paint and markers shall have a chemical composition that is not harmful to the alloy in hot service, and does not contain harmful
metals or metal salts containing Zinc, Aluminium, lead or chlorides, sulphur, or halogens. Material Safety Data Sheet ( MSDS) documentation
and paint data sheets shall be available for review by the designated inspector.
