1. Discuss the nature and sustainability of a product.

The nature of the products must be taken into account in relation to the
whole product lineup. Products include tangible items as well as ideas,
services, and information. The majority of products are actually blends of
these components. The nature of service-based products is frequently
intangible. While A sustainable product is one that uses resources sparingly
throughout its full life cycle and benefits society, the environment, and the
economy. Being aware of your choices and leading a sustainable lifestyle
have a positive impact on both the consumption of natural resources and the
ability of future generations to survive on this planet. However, some
companies misuse words like environmental, and sustainable to trick
customers, misrepresent their products, and green wash their image. The
notion of sustainability is that our actions now should enhance future
generations; access to resources.

2. Identify the levels of product and give at least two examples.

A. Core Products - refers to the value that a consumer receives from utilizing
a product. The primary purpose for which the product was created is met.

Example: Skincare products as it will make the skin of the consumer

healthier and also cellphone as the consumer can use it to communicate.

B. Actual Products - is the actual, tangible item that one can take in their
hands and feel. Here, presentation, packaging, and manufacturing are all
crucial. The entire category is viewed in light of the product itself.

Example: Toothpaste and microwave.

C. Augmented Products - is once more the product's non-physical component.

It is made up of all the extra features, advantages, and services that you get
when you buy the product. It is neither the actual product's physical
component nor is it the main item (the primary source of utility).

Example: Free recipe book once a consumer bought a kitchen appliance

and a discount coupon for future purchase.
3. Differentiate consumer and industrial products and provide sample
companies that produces that particular product.

Industrial products are purchased and utilized for commercial and

industrial purposes. They are composed of equipment, production facilities,
raw materials, and any other product or element that businesses or industries
need. Consumer products, such as clothing or food, are prepared for
consumption and satisfying human needs.

Examples for industrial companies are Pilipinas Shell Petroleum, Toyota

Motor Philippines Corporation and San Miguel Food and Beverage Inc.

Examples for consumer companies are 7-Eleven, Ministop, and Alfamart.

4. Prepare an illustration of a product life cycle and identify its label.

5. How can the promotional mix turn into strategy?

A promotional mix is a combination of marketing methods including

advertising, sales, public relations and direct marketing to achieve a specific
marketing goal. A promotion mix is a key method for delivering a relevant
promotion message via the most suitable channel for each segment.
Companies develop a promotion mix trying to speak their consumers'
language. If prepared correctly, it helps build trust between the brand and its
