Correlation between the Concentration of Nitrates and Chlorides

Using the Spearman Rank Correlation coefficient to test for the relationship between the two
chemical constituents of underground water. At 0.05 significance level (α=0.05).

Hypotheses: Two sided


H0: Concentration of Nitrates and chlorides are independent.
H1: There is a direct relationship between the concentration of nitrates and chlorides in
underground water of Aisleby farm and its environs.
