On May 17, 2024, 3C2 students from LSPU SANPABLO CCJE participated in a
shooting range training exercise at GiPible Indoor Shooting Range, aiming to create their
own test-fired bullet and examine it under a microscope for striations.
The students were oriented of the rules and policies inside the shooting range. We were taught
how to properly hold the gun and how to properly shoot it so we wouldn't cause any injuries. In here
we wore the proper outfit which is labgown, hairnet, gloves and facemask together with the gear such
as eye protection and earmuffs.
Inside of the shooting range is where the shooters normally stand and take their stances to shoot. We
were excited when we entered as we were ready. We prepared 4 sacks of sand because that is where
we will shoot our test fired bullets. Each of us had 4 bullets to shoot with proper markings in the
proper location. The bullets were 9mm and it consists ofead bullets and teflon-coated bullets.
In the actual firing i held the gun properly as per the instructions in the orientation. With the
proper grip safety i took aim with the front and rear sight aimed directly at the sacks of sand. As I shot
my test fired bullets i was filled with adrenaline because of how amused I was.
After my turn I went to collect my cartridge scattered on the floor with gloves and as for the
bullets the instructors told us to wait until everybody is done so we can retrieve it in the sacks of sand.
I safely put my fired cartridge in the plastic ziplocks. After we successfully collected our bullets and
done with the payments we safely went home.
