Sub: Drawalof Transport Allowance rates to the railway staff working

in Umdanagar, Medchal and Gundlapochampally Stations (of
HYB Division) which are within the periphery of GHMC limits
at X' class city rates - reg.

Ref: This office letters of even No. dt.21.09.2015 & 24.01.2019.

Please refer to this office letter dated 21.09.2015 cited under reference
wherein a copy of Railway Board's letter dated 18.09.2015 communicating the
sanction of the President for payment of HRA to the staff working at
Umdanagar, Medchal and Gundlapochampally stationsof HYB Division at the
rates applicable to those posted within the classified city of Hyderabad|UA] X
class city} for a period of three (3) years from 01.06.2015 to 31.05.2018,
subject to fulfillment of conditions for grant of HRA has been forwarded for
taking further necessary action. Board further advised that the above
mentioned period may however be extended after obtaining a fresh
Dependency as prescribed in clause (ii) of Para 2 of Board's letter dt.22.07.65.
as amended fromn time to time and in accordance with the provisions of
Board's letter No. E(P&:A)II-85/HRA-12 dated 11.03.1986.
Subsequently, Railway Board vide their letter No. E(P&A)I-2012/HRA-1
dt. 10.01.2019 have agreed to grant HRA to the railway staff working at
Umdanagar, Medchal&s Gundlapochampally at par with the staff working in
Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) limits w.e.f 15.05.2010
instead of 01.06.2015. The same has been communicated vide this office
letter dt.24.01.2019. Board also stated that the other terms and conditions as
mentioned in Board's letter of even No. dt. 18.09.2015 shall remain the same.

GS/SCRE Sangh is now representing that, the staff working at

Umdanagar, Medchal and Gundlapochampally stations are not getting the
enhanced rate of Transport allowance i.e., (X' class city) and requesting this
office to arrange payment of Transport Allowance to all the categories of
employees working at the above stations with retrospective effect i.e., from the
date of approval accorded by the Railway Board.

The matter has been examined by the competent authority and it is

agreed for payment of Transport Allowance in the revised rates of X class
CÉty issued from time to time from the date of approval accorded by Railway
Board, if already not done, and further advised to obtain a fresh dependency
certificate from the concerned authorities for obtaining approval of AGM/SC
for further extension of the period for these stations for grant of HRA on par
with Xclass City.
Please take necessary action accordingly.
This issues with the approval of the competent authority.
