Cultural Expectations: Societal norms and values that influence behavior.

Student Mental Health: Psychological well-being and emotional state of

students.

Academic Performance: The extent to which a student, teacher or institution

has attained their short or long-term educational goals.

METHODOLOGY

In conducting this research, a mixed-method approach will be utilized to

gather comprehensive data. This approach combines both qualitative and

quantitative methods to provide a deeper understanding of the topic.

RESEARCH DESIGN

This study employs a mixed-methods research design to explore the

influence of cultural expectations on student mental health and academic

performance. The mixed-methods approach combines quantitative and

qualitative data collection methods to provide a comprehensive understanding

of the research topic (Creswell & Plano Clark, 2018).

RESEARCH LOCALE

The study will be conducted in Barayong National High School,

Municipality of Magsaysay, province of Davao del Sur in Region XI,

Philippines. Conducting the research at Barayong National High School will

offer valuable insights into the interplay between cultural expectations and

student success in a diverse educational setting.
