My Reflection on the Story of Helen Keller

Firstly, Helen Keller's story base I could see was really painful and pitiful. As
someone who really wants to try to live in this world with the many circumstances that we
have, there's a reason to surrender because some of our brothers and sisters have a problem
with their physical appearance. There are a lot of people who live in this world without
senses or hearing, but they never stop dreaming to achieve their goals. It's hard to imagine a
world without sight or sound. Yet Helen not only survived but thrived in this isolated world.
Secondly, Her breakthrough with Anne Sullivan gave me chills. The concept of
language being the key to her world opening up is beautiful. It made me realize how much I
take for granted the ability to communicate with and understand the world around me.
Thirdly, Her story is a challenge. If Helen, with such immense obstacles, could achieve
so much, what excuses do I have? It motivates me to always be grateful for what I have and
to appreciate all the things that we have.
Fourthly, Helen’s advocacy also inspires me. Despite her own struggles, she dedicated
herself to helping others. It reminds me of the importance of “using my voice to stand up for
those who can't" or "being more understanding of people with different abilities."
In conclusion, Helen Keller's story is a powerful reminder that the human spirit is
limitless. It's a story that will stay with me and continue to inspire me in the face of
challenges.
