My Writing Process

Back in high school, when I started writing essays, we always got outlines to guide us.

These outlines were like maps, showing us how to organize our thoughts well. We had to follow

a strict routine, like drafting and outlining, very carefully.

So, whenever I had to write an essay, I stuck to this plan. I made sure each paragraph

followed the template's rules. In the beginning of the essay, I would lay out my main ideas, often

with a clear thesis statement summarizing what I was going to talk about. This focus on structure

not only made me a better writer but also stressed how important it is to be clear and organized

when expressing ideas.

But when I got to college, everything changed. We didn't have those outlines anymore.

We had to come up with our own ideas and ways to write essays. Without the outlines, I felt a bit

lost at first and I had to deal with my writing problems directly. It was scary, but I kept trying and

working hard. I started to enjoy making my own essay plans without following a set pattern. It

felt good to be creative and try out new ways of organizing my thoughts.

I made mistakes along the way, but I learned from them. I got better at writing with

practice and each essay I wrote helped a long way. I had to learn to trust myself and find my own

style of writing. The challenges I faced in college helped me learn and grow as a writer. Looking

back, I see that not having templates was a good thing. It made me more creative and confident

in my writing. Even though it was hard at first, it helped me become a better writer in the end.
