The way that scientific, technological, and social variables interact to shape modern life is the main focus

of the
Science, Technology, and Society (STS) program. Together, the program's participants—humanists, social
scientists, engineers, and natural scientists—are dedicated to looking beyond the confines of their respective
fields in an effort to find fresh perspectives and innovative approaches to teaching science and engineering
students. The program's objective is to create a platform for the investigation of the connections between the
requirements, needs, and reactions of society and the work that scientists and engineers conduct.

Dedicated to comprehending the context of science and engineering, STS is housed in a large university where
the majority of students study these subjects.
